The LA Lakers playoff picture is pretty much closed and word is coming off that the Lakers could be limited King James minutes for the rest of the season. That great news for us tonight because the Boston Celtics are playing better basketball and their defense as of late has looked really good. The Celtics have been trending 'Under' games going a perfect 0-6 O/U and 7 out 8 and tonight at the Staples Center I see the Celtics shutting down the Lakers offense. The Lakers have also been trending 'Under' games cashing 3-Straight and their offense struggled in their last home game only scoring 99 points against the Nuggets. Throw in that the Celtics defense has been nothing but stellar on the road going 1-10 O/U in their last 11 road games and 9-21-1 O/U against Pacific division teams.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYS

3 Unit Play. Take #714 Washington -4.5 over Oregon (10:00p.m., Saturday March 9 ESPN)
The Washington Huskies are a perfect 15-0 at home and tonight I see this trend continuing and the Huskies will go 16-0. Washington beat the Ducks in Oregon 61-56 and wouldn't shock me to see another big win tonight. Oregon comes to Washington on a 3-day winning streak but its no secret they struggle on the road and I see the Huskies playing the same way they played Colorado at home last month and cover this game. Oregon is 1-4 ATS last 5 road games and the Huskies are 6-0 ATS against a team with a losing road record.

3 Unit Play. Take #722 James Madison 'Pick' over Towson (4:00p.m., Saturday March 9)
Both teams probably won't be dancing but this game has outstanding betting value. Towson comes into this games losers of 4-Straight and 5 out 6 and James Madison has also struggled but tonight I see Dukes getting even since Towson beat them in late January. Towson is 1-7 ATS when playing on a neutral site game and the Dukes are 8-2 AYS last 10 meetings.

This 'Big Unit' total play is all on the defense of the Northern Colorado team defense. The Bears are only giving up an average of 68.6ppg this season and their last game they held Southern Utah to only 53 points and that game flew 'Under' the total. Thesee two teams played each other in Arizona in late January and the Bears stole that road game beating the Lumberjack 63-48 and that total went 'Under' and tonight I see another dead 'Under' game. This pick falls into one of my top college basketball systems and I have North Carolina winning this game by 8 to 12 points at home here today. It was no fluke that North Carolina beat Duke on the road by 16 points despite being 10-point underdogs back on February 20, and they will prove just that at home tonight. Duke has 2 losses over their last 5 games including that loss to North Carolina and they have actually proved to be vulnerable. North Carolina will win the battle on the boards here tonight and they did shoot 50.7% against Duke in their last meeting and that was on the road. North Carolina has held opponents to shooting 38.7% against them over their last 5 games and North Carolina has averaged 88.7 points per game at home this season while shooting 46.7% as a team. North Carolina has also shot 37.3% as a team from beyond the arc this season and Duke has shot just 30.9% as a team from beyond the arc this season. Duke is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after a win and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when playing a team that has a win rate above .600.
