Odds shown are morning line odds.

        Race 9 - Maiden - 250y on the Dirt. Purse: $18100 Class Rating: 70

QUARTER HORSE 250Y, FOR MAIDEN, TWO YEAR OLDS. WEIGHT, 124 LBS.

        RECOMMENDED CHOICES
        The Walker Group Picks

        # 9 A TRES OF POP 10/1

        # 8 DYNASTY CARTEL 10/1

        # 5 LOTA LAICO BIRD 20/1

A TRES OF POP looks to be the bet in here particularly if the morning line of 10/1 holds. Wood has been tough as nails with two year olds, winning at a 21 percent rate. DYNASTY CARTEL - Cannot be overlooked - Valdivia is a solid trainer with the babies, winning 20 of his races. Has to be given a shot against this field based solely on pedigree numbers. Always good to invest in a handler with this kind of respectable win percentage - 19 percent - at this distance & surface. LOTA LAICO BIRD - Bettors should note that this racer runs on Lasix today. Charettehill has one of the most favorable winning percentages in this field with entries running at this distance and surface.

          Turfway Park - Race #3 - Post: 7:13pm - Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $7,100 Class Rating: 63

          Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

          #2 SYRISONG (ML=15/1)
          #7 ADORABLE EYES (ML=10/1)
          #4 LUCY E. (ML=20/1)

SYRISONG - Bermudez and Cahill partnered together are a horseplayer's friend. Trainer Cahill moves this thoroughbred down the class ladder to face much lower class horses. Look for a nice performance given this drop. ADORABLE EYES - Calderon drops her down to this class. You don't need too much more from the horse's history to believe this horse has a good chance at this level. Caisamo and Calderon perform well when they join forces. It's hard to beat a +22 ROI for a jockey and conditioner. I like the piece of information that this mare's last speed figure, 59, is tops in this bunch. LUCY E. - Good return on investment for this jock and trainer twosome. Taking a trip down in the class scale; has the ability to make her presence felt.

          Vulnerable Contenders: #5 ALITTLEBOURBON (ML=6/5), #8 CRISIS AVERTED (ML=7/2), #9 ROCKPORT DANCER (ML=6/1),

ALITTLEBOURBON - Not probable that the speed figure she notched on Mar 1st will be enough in this event. CRISIS AVERTED - This mount ran a quite unimpressive speed rating last time around the track. She shouldn't show signs of improvement and will probably get beat in today's event running that fig. ROCKPORT DANCER - This animal hasn't been around in either of her last couple of outings. The Brain cautions me to keep my distance from ponies in short distance affairs that haven't finished in the money in short distance races recently. If you keep selecting these sort of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be disillusioned most of the time.

          STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Have to go with #2 SYRISONG on the win end if we get at least 7/2 odds

            The Walker Group Picks

            # 3 BIRDACIOUS 8/5

            # 5 SEEKING A JEWEL 5/1

            # 2 MANDY'S CANDY 5/2

I think BIRDACIOUS is a quite good choice. She has been running solidly and the speed figures are among the strongest in this group of horses in this race. Garnered a quite good speed figure last time out. With a nice Equibase class figure average of 73, has one of the top class advantages in this group. SEEKING A JEWEL - Had one of the strongest speed figures of this group of horses in her last race. MANDY'S CANDY - Looks decent versus this field and will most likely be one of the early speedsters. Put up a very good Equibase speed fig last time out.

                #7 FROSTY GIRL (ML=10/1)
                #1A BLUE HEN MADNESS (ML=8/5)

FROSTY GIRL - You'll be generating profits right and left by turning your gambling cash onto this jockey/conditioner combination. Dropping down in class rating points from her November 21st race at Penn National. Based on that info, I will give this horse the edge. BLUE HEN MADNESS - Ran last time out against much better horses at Penn National. The move down the ladder based on class rating points should suit her well. Atop this horse on February 22nd and Hernandez is right back in the irons today. Have to give this mare a good shot. Ran a sharp race in the last race within the last thirty days.

                Vulnerable Contenders: #1 ASIAN'S WAY (ML=8/5), #2 MY FAVORITE CITY (ML=7/2), #2B ALWAYS THIRSTY (ML=7/2),

ASIAN'S WAY - Didn't come through as the public's choice the last two times. Probably won't gain a top finish today either. MY FAVORITE CITY - There's early zip, early speed, and more early speed in this contest. Doesn't look good for this animal. Don't feel this runner will make an impact in today's event. That last speed rating was substandard when compared with today's Equibase class figure. ALWAYS THIRSTY - I'd like to see more hospitable recent outings with morning line of 7/2. Pace is so critical, and this early speedball is going to have an early battle on her hands.

The top two seeds in the Big 12 tournament won't be playing for the automatic bid to the Big Dance as Kansas State and Texas Tech have been bounced. Much was made about Big 12 king Kansas not winning the regular season conference title for the first time since 2004, but it's the Jayhawks who have an opportunity to grab the crown with a win over Iowa State. Kansas knocked out 10th-seed West Virginia in Friday's semifinals to reach the title game for the third time in four seasons, while hooking up with Iowa State in the tournament championship for the first time since 2015.

The Cyclones held off top-seed Kansas State in the semifinals, 63-59 to pick up their second victory over the Wildcats this season. Iowa State split the season series with Kansas as the home team won each time. The Cyclones crushed the Jayhawks in Ames, 77-60 as 2.5-point favorites in early January, while KU grabbed revenge in Lawrence less than three weeks later, 80-76. ISU will look to keep up an incredible 12-0-1 ATS mark in the last 13 conference tournament matchups.

For the second time in seven days, the Wildcats and Pirates hook up as they battle for the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Villanova is in regardless of what happens tonight, while Seton Hall has helped its tournament chances over the last 10 days by winning four straight games. The most recent victory came against Marquette on Friday, 81-79 as 4.5-point underdogs in the semifinals as the Pirates picked up their second crucial win over the Golden Eagles this month.

Villanova rallied to stun Xavier in overtime, 71-67, although the Wildcats failed to cash as six-point favorites on Friday. The Wildcats trailed for most of the game before forcing overtime to reach their fifth consecutive Big East title game. In the previous matchup between these squads last Saturday in Newark, Seton Hall downed Villanova, 79-75, as the Pirates avenged a 28-point loss to the Wildcats earlier in the season. The last team other than Villanova to capture the Big East tournament title was Seton Hall, who edged the Wildcats, 69-67 in 2016.

The Gators looked like they were headed for a nervous Selection Sunday when a six-point possession ensued late in the second half as LSU interim head coach Tony Benford picked up an ill-timed technical foul to compound the Tigers' issues. Eventually, freshman point guard Andrew Nembhard secured the Florida upset with an immense 3-pointer wiht just over a second remaining. Freshman Keyontae Johnson continued his tourney coming-out party by delivering the winning assist to finish off a strong final few minutes. Nembhard stole the show with a career-high 20 points, six assists and no turnovers, but will now have to deal with Auburn's pesky senior floor general, Jared Harper, who helped the Tigers post a 76-62 home win on Feb. 5. This will be the Gators' first SEC Tournament semifinal appearance in five years, the furthest head coach Mike White has taken them since replacing Billy Donovan

The Tigers faced a little adversity against the Gamecocks, trailing early before gaining some separation in the second half and ultimately covering by knocking down the majority of their free-throws down the stretch. Chuma Okeke again looked bothered by a foot injury and didn't score his first field goal until he finished off an alley oop in the closing minutes. Harper recovered from a shaky quarterfinal effort by scoring 19 of his 27 points in the second half to help the Tigers improve to 6-0 this month. Senior backcourt make Bryce Brown added 19 points and has been excellent in Nashville. 7-foot center Austin Wiley, who has been sidelined since Feb. 23 with a slower leg injury, provided limited minutes against the Gamecocks in his return to the lineup and is expected to be available for this one This is Auburn's first SEC Tourney semifinal since 2015.

The Vols took care of business against Mississippi State, getting a ridiculous dunk from Admiral Schofield to punctuate an impressive win over the NCAA-bound Bulldogs. Afterward, he was trending on Twitter over the jam and the fact he went on SEC Network and said the Vols don't feel like Kentucky respects them as an opponent. The rubber match will present an opportunity to move on to the championship game and likely lock up a No. 1 seed in the NCAAs. Tennessee is playing extremely well after Schofield, Kyle Alexander, Jordan Bone and Lamonte Turner all stepped up in support of SEC Player of the Year Grant Williams to pull away and gain separation in a contest that was tied in the second half. The Vols routed Kentucky in Knoxville 71-52 to open March after being blown out in Lexington in February.

An active 'Cats defense made quick work of the Crimson Tide, helping dominate the action and setting up easy offense. Although this game will be played in Nashville, Kentucky fans have again taken over the SEC Tournament, creating an interesting dynamic for this one. The Wildcats held the Vols to 40 percent shooting in their win and were stifled in the loss, shooting just 31.8 percent. They held Alabama to a shooting clip of just over 30 percent in Friday's rout. Reid Travis had eight points, seven boards and three blocks in his return to the lineup, so we'll see how his knee is feeling playing on consecutive days after putting in 23 minutes. P.J. Washington has been the leader of this young UK group and has held his own against Williams and the highly touted Tennessee frontcourt. He must against be at his best if the Wildcats are to suit up on Sunday.

One of the hottest teams in the country is a squad that was one victory away from the Final Four last March. FSU has allowed 64 points or less in five of the past six contests, while improving to 5-1 ATS in the last six opportunities in the underdog role.

Duke held off rival North Carolina in the semifinal, 74-73 to beat the Tar Heels for the first time in three tries this season. The Blue Devils failed to cash as 4.5-point favorites to fall to 2-8 ATS the last 10 games. Game of the Night: Warriors at Thunder – 8:30 PM EST

There is no shortage of intrigue when these two Western Conference rivals get together. Golden State (46-21 SU, 27-39-1 ATS) has split the first two meetings with Oklahoma City (42-27 SU, 36-33 ATS) at Oracle Arena, while the two teams are even at 3-3 in six matchups since the start of the 2017-18 season.

Obviously, the storyline when these teams hook up is Kevin Durant facing his former team, but the Warriors’ All-Star is back in Oklahoma City for the first time since last April when Golden State left Chesapeake Energy Arena with a 111-107 victory. Fast-forward to this season where the Warriors hoisted another championship banner in the opener and held off the Thunder, 108-100 as 12 ½-point favorites. OKC played without Durant’s frenemy Russell Westbrook, who sat out the first two games of the season following offseason knee surgery.

The Thunder grabbed revenge in the next matchup in Oakland on November 21 in a 123-95 blowout of the two-time defending champions. Golden State was without its star Stephen Curry, as OKC jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead and outscored the Warriors, 36-16 in the fourth quarter. Westbrook struggled from the floor (5-for-15), but compiled a triple-double, while Dennis Schroder provided a huge spark off the bench with 32 points.

Golden State continues a tough four-game road swing against Western Conference foes as the Warriors avoided a season sweep by beating Houston on Wednesday, 106-104 as four-point underdogs. The Warriors have alternated wins and losses in the past six games, while managing the victory with Durant sidelined. The duo of Curry and Klay Thompson combined to score 54 points, while DeMarcus Cousins posted 27 points as the trio was the only three Warriors to register double-figure scoring.

Oklahoma City squandered an 18-point lead in Thursday’s 108-106 defeat at Indiana. Paul George torched his former team for 36 points, but the Thunder was limited to 18 points in the fourth quarter to fall to 2-6 in the past eight road contests. OKC has seen the UNDER in cash in four consecutive games, while not topping the 110-point mark during this stretch.

Both these Western powers have struggled to cover numbers recently as the Warriors own a 4-13 ATS record in the past 17 games, while the Thunder have compiled a 3-10 ATS mark the last 13 contests.

Blazers at Spurs – 8:35 PM EST

                          Portland (41-26 SU, 38-29 ATS)
concludes a difficult three-game road trip on Saturday looking for a perfect 3-0 mark. After pulling away from the Clippers on Tuesday in a 21-point rout at Staples Center, the Blazers outscored the Pelicans on Friday, 66-53 in the second half of a 122-110 triumph. Portland grabbed the cover as hefty nine-point favorites, while receiving 47 points from the backcourt duo of C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard.

The toughest task for the Blazers will be to knock off the Spurs (39-29 SU, 37-30-1 ATS), who have lost only seven times in 33 tries at AT&T Center. San Antonio will also be playing with no rest after routing New York, 109-83 to avenge a road defeat to the Knicks last month. The Spurs rebounded nicely from the disastrous Rodeo Trip which saw them go 1-7 as San Antonio has run off seven straight victories.

This is the final regular season meeting between these Western squads as the home team has captured the first three contests. The OVER cashed all three times as the Blazers won the most recent matchup at the Moda Center, 127-118 last month. San Antonio dropped 131 points on Portland in the past hookup at AT&T Center in December, led by DeMar DeRozan’s 36 points, while LaMarcus Aldridge added 29 points.

Pacers at Nuggets – 9:05 PM EST

No team will endure a tougher eight-game stretch this season than Indiana (44-25 SU, 35-34 ATS) is currently in the midst of. The Pacers rallied to shock the Thunder on Thursday, 108-106 on a tip-in by Wesley Matthews in the final seconds to improve to 27-9 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Now, Indiana starts a four-game road trip that begins in Denver, followed by a back-to-back set against the Blazers and Clippers, then closes out at Golden State. In case you’re wondering, the next three games after this brutal trip are against the Nuggets at home and visits to Oklahoma City and Boston.

The Nuggets (45-22 SU, 36-31 ATS) bounced back from a 17-point defeat at Golden State to knock off Minnesota and Dallas at home. Although they failed to cover as 11 ½-point favorites on Thursday, the Nuggets still managed their 29th home win of the season on a Nikola Jokic buzzer-beater to edge the Mavericks, 100-99. The Nuggets remain one game behind the Warriors for the top seed in the Western Conference and home-court advantage throughout the first three rounds.

Denver is riding an incredible 9-1 UNDER run since the All-Star break, including five UNDERS at Pepsi Center. The Pacers have dropped eight consecutive visits to Pepsi Center since 2009, but each of the past three losses in Denver have come by three points each. Indiana will be looking to snap a four-game road skid, while suffering double-digits defeats most recently at Milwaukee and Philadelphia.

Nets at Jazz – 9:05 PM EST

Both these squads enter Saturday’s action as the seventh seed in their respective conferences with less than a month remaining in the regular season. Brooklyn (36-34 SU, 37-33 ATS) saw its four-game winning streak come to an abrupt halt on Wednesday at Oklahoma City in a 108-96 setback. The Nets built a 10-point halftime lead, but were outscored, 66-44 in the second half as Brooklyn failed to cash seven-point underdogs.

The Jazz (39-29 SU, 35-31-2 ATS) are on their way to their fourth consecutive season with at least 40 wins, as Utah hasn’t reached this milestone since 2007-10. Utah cruised past Minnesota on Friday, 120-100 to cash as nine-point home favorites, led by Donovan Mitchell’s 24 points. The Jazz have won nine of 12 home games against Eastern Conference foes, including eight of the past 10 games overall against teams from the East.

Utah won at Barclays Center in late November, 101-91 as 3 ½-point favorites to grab its fourth win in the past five matchups. The Nets have cashed in six of their last nine games in the role of a road underdog, while riding a six-game UNDER streak in the past six games overall.
