    DETROIT +1

    DETROIT @ MIAMI | 3/13 | 7:30 PM EDT
    1:13 AM
The Heat are just 15-19 at home and now face a Pistons team in bounceback mode after shooting 27.8 percent -- lowest in the NBA this season -- in a blowout loss at Brooklyn. Blake Griffin isn't going to go 1 for 10 again. That performance came on the second day of a back-to-back. Detroit should look more like the team it's been recently. The Pistons are 26-14 with Ish Smith in the lineup, and he went off for 22 points and nine assists off the bench in a 23-point win at Miami three weeks ago. Play the small road dog.

    45-21-1 IN LAST 67 NBA ATS PICKS | +2202
    30-20-1 IN LAST 51 DET ATS PICKS | +855

    HOUSTON -3

    GOLDEN ST. @ HOUSTON | 3/13 | 9:30 PM EDT
    9:23 AM
Right now the Rockets are the better team. Even though it's tempting when you see the Warriors as underdogs, remember that Houston has beaten them in five of the past six regular-season meetings, including all three this season. Eric Gordon is 26 of 51 from deep in the past five games, and P.J. Tucker is hitting 52.3 percent from deep during Houston's nine-game win streak. Lay the small number.

    45-21-1 IN LAST 67 NBA ATS PICKS | +2202
    29-21-2 IN LAST 52 GS ATS PICKS | +684

    2-0-1 IN LAST 3 HOU ATS PICKS | +200

      OVER 151.5 STANFORD VS UCLA | 3/13 | 9:00 PM EDT

UCLA is the 11th fastest team in the country, getting off a shot every 15 seconds. The Bruins' porous defense and above average offense have sent them over the total in seven of their last nine games. I'm sure Stanford is looking forward to the matchup as the Cardinal play much better versus an opponent that likes to run. The last five Stanford games have gone under the total, and the Cardinal are just 1-4 in those games. When Stanford has faced up-tempo teams, here the game's point totals: 142, 184, 155, 156, 142 and 162. The two highest scores (184 and 162) were against UCLA. My projection: Stanford 80, UCLA 79.

      5-2 IN LAST 7 CBB PICKS | +269

      BOISE ST. -3

COLORADO ST. VS BOISE ST. | 3/13 | 2:00 PM EDT
      YESTERDAY 9:40 PM
I think Boise State has several advantages in this game. I think the Broncos are the better team even though both Boise and Colorado State went 12-9 and 7-11 in conference play. I also think that Boise plays better defense, and the numbers support that. (The Broncos allow 68.7 points a game while the Rams allow 75.5.) Boise is far more experienced when it comes to the conference tournament. And, finally, the Broncos will have revenge on their minds after losing to Colorado State the last time the teams met. My projected final: Boise State 77, Colorado State 69.

      5-2 IN LAST 7 CBB PICKS | +269

      ST. JOHN'S -5

      DEPAUL VS ST. JOHN'S | 3/13 | 9:30 PM EDT
      9:02 AM
Even though DePaul beat St. John's both times this season, one can argue that St. John's is the better team by virtue of its 8-10 Big East Conference record compared to DePaul's 7-11 mark. Kenpom has St. John's ranked No. 75 and DePaul No. 105. The Red Storm also have better offensive and defensive numbers. If you give St. John's two or three points because of the revenge factor and another three points for playing, essentially, at home in Madison Square Garden, the pick is easy. My projection: St. John's 82, DePaul 73

      5-2 IN LAST 7 CBB PICKS | +269

Great spot to take the dog here as this is one of my favorite situations. First off we are getting great line value with Miami as these two just played 5 days ago and Virginia Tech -9.5 won at home 84-70. They laid 9.5 points at home and now because they won 5 days ago and Miami played yesterday while Virginia Tech didn’t Vegas made this line 7.5 today. That’s too high. Yes I know Virginia Tech beat them twice this year with both wins by double digits so why do I want Miami this time? Let’s look at the two meetings between these two. In the first loss Miami played Virginia Tech the game before they were to play Virginia the #1 team in the Country so clearly that was a look ahead spot for Miami. In the second meeting it was the final game of the year and they were on the road with nothing to play for. Miami was looking ahead to the Conference Tournament where as it was Senior Day for Virginia Tech. Miami played yesterday while Virginia Tech didn’t. Most people think that’s an advantage for Virginia Tech but I do not as Miami already has a game under their belt so any butterflies the players may have are gone. Secondly they also had a chance to play in this arena and get use to the different site lines. This is another huge advantage as Virginia Tech hasn’t played a game in this building to adjust. Lastly having just beat Miami and beating them earlier in year it is natural for Virginia Tech to take Miami for granted. Miami takes this game to the wire as I have this as a 1-3 point game either way. Let’s Call it Miami by 1-3 points.

                    TAKE MIAMI-FL as MARCO’S 4% AFTERNOON SHOCKER

The Warriors will be shorthanded Wednesday with Kevin Durant (ankle) already ruled out. This was going to be a tough matchup, to begin with, considering the Rockets have won nine straight and are 24-9 at home. The Rockets have won and covered the spread in each of their previous three meetings with the Warriors this season and I like their chances of making it four straight.

Basically, everything that could have gone wrong did in the Pistons’ embarrassing 28-point loss to the Nets on Monday. They were playing the second leg of a back-to-back set and had won five straight heading into that contest, so don’t read too much into one bad outing. They have won both of their last two games against the Heat, including a 23-point victory in Miami a little over two weeks ago. The Heat are only 14-20 ATS at home, including 7-17 ATS as the home favorite. Roll with the Pistons and the points.

The Magic have had bad losses on the road lately, including defeats at the hands of the Grizzlies, Cavaliers and Knicks. Those are especially brutal considering their chase for one of the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. This is not an easy matchup against the Wizards, who are 20-12 ATS at home despite their poor overall record. I’ll take the Wizards to win and cover.

Memphis has won three in a row and covered in five straight. But aside from victories over the downtrodden Mavericks and Knicks, the Grizzlies haven't won any other game on the road since before Christmas. The Hawks aren't isn't any good at home, but since the All-Star break they're the NBA's highest-scoring team.

Whenever it's seems time to fade the Warriors, they come out and dominate. But not sure that's going to happen Wednesday without Kevin Durant and against a Rockets team that's won nine in a row. Godlen State has covered just twice in its last 13 games, and they have yet to cover in three matchups against Houston. Four of Houston's last five wins have been by double figures, with an average margin over the entire nine-game run by 8.2 ppg. Back the home Rockets to keep the Warriors' slide going at least one more game.

                              DETROIT @ MIAMI | 3/13 | 7:30 PM EDT
                              10:45 AM
Miami has reversed a trend of being bad at home, winning four of five at American Airlines Arena. But the Heat are still 7-17 against the spread as a home favorite, and the Pistons -- Monday's 28-point beatdown at the Nets notwithstanding -- are playing much better. There's no good matchup for Blake Griffin. Detroit can rebound here on the road.
