Iowa ST will get a boost in this venue and on paper are a superior team with 3 guards that can start as PG on most teams in the country.

  Looking back at their game at C Mich on Feb 19th Kent St was playing a 3rd game in 6 days, was without their PG and was 1-14 for 3-pt range but were still within 4 the last two minutes before losing by 10. Now playing at the Q in Cleveland. Kent St now at full strength after also getting a suspended player back also will have a crowd edge as they draw pretty week because of the alumni in Cleveland and the proximity.

South Florida PG Laquincy Rideau has missed the last two games and is out vs Connecticut. Rideau is one of the best passers in the country and one of the top defensive guards. There is a 3.5 point drop off. I project Connecticut wins 73-66.

The Cyclones are a very talented team, but fell apart late in the year. I think having so many freshmen and sophomores was the problem. They hit a wall playing such good competition. Iowa State lost both games to Baylor and will look for revenge. Baylor point guard Makai Mason, the lvy League transfer, is very questionable for this game. I have Iowa State ranked No. 22 and Baylor No. 37. My Projection: Iowa State 78-69.
