The Nets are scuffling on their current road trip due to key injuries and to fatigue while the L.A. Clippers need to be better than not in the final three weeks of the regular season to avoid slipping into the 8th slot of the West standings and having to face the Warriors in the first round of title tournament play.
The Clippers are at their best on the Staples Center hardwood, are making the most of their recent home stretch of events in L.A, and come into this game on a 6-1 run in its last seven games and 3-1 thus far on the six-game homestand. The Clippers are a half-game out of seventh place in the West and six games up on ninth-place Sacramento.

The Nets exited New York for their current seven-game road trip - their longest of the season - and have been inconsistent and shown the wear and tear of the long season with two straight losses, to Oklahoma City and Utah.

Brooklyn had only one player score in double figures in their loss in Salt Lake City on Friday night. D'Angelo Russell scored 20 points but did so taking 25 shots from the field and connecting on just eight. Brooklyn sits in the seventh slot in the East with a 2.5 game lead over the ninth slotted Orlando Magic.

The Nets saw the return of guard LeVert to the starting lineup after five straight games on the bench. But LaVert, another Nets player that looks lethargic on the court, is just 6-for-22 from the field during the team's road trip. In addition, as a whole, the Nets shot 34.7 percent, their worst showing in a road game since April 12, 2017, and there are no signs that tonight's game in LA is going to magically give their weary legs energy or put them in a position to steal a road game at Staples.

The Clippers are healthy and playing small ball. This variable alone is an issue for the fatigued Nets. Shooting forward Danilo Gallinari was spot on in the teams last game scoring 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting. The sharp shooter is a ridiculous 16-for-25 from beyond the arc over a five-game span, during which he's averaging 25.8 points.

In addition guard Gilgeous-Alexander and the Clippers backcourt are creating easy looks for each other from beyond the arc.

The Nets are seriously short-handed tonight. Nets SF Allen Crabbe (knee) sat out Saturday's loss while PG Shabazz Napier (hamstring) missed his second straight game.

Los Angeles has won seven straight meetings at home, make that eight consecutive, in a wire to wire rout of Brooklyn today at Staples.

A difficult spot tonight for the Nets -- one that the Brooklyn coaching staff will eventually wave the white flag in giving the second rotation the majority of the fourth quarter minutes.

Auburn knocked them off the final game of the regular season, dropping Tennessee from a first-place tie with LSU to a second-place tie with Kentucky. With Kentucky out of the picture, Bridgestone Arena will be full of Tennessee fans. I'll take the better team playing at home with revenge. My projection: Tennessee 78, Auburn 68.

I wish we grabbed this line at 135, but I think there is plenty of value on the Under still. Similar to the Memphis vs. Houston game yesterday, we have two teams that shouldn’t let their previous high totals this year dictate this championship game scoring. Bigger the stakes, the more precious each possession is, and more each team will be locked in defensively. Michigan ranked number two in the country in defensive scoring, while Michigan State ranks number three in field goal percentage defense.

The public is still not catching on to the fact that a few of these conference tournament games are home court advantages. This is played in Bridgestone Arena, and Tennessee should be a seven point favorite at minimum. I don't usually cross reference teams but this Tennessee team has beat Kentucky twice now. Auburn has lost to Kentucky twice this year, once by 27 points. Tennessee is too strong and carries too many veterans to not demolish the Tigers.

and that would happen every time you would get to a C bet, so I could never understand why the record is perfect, because you would have lost 1 play every time there's a B bet, and 2 plays every time there's a C bet. maybe they just count a loss if the C bet loses. You'd have a hefty wager to just get even on the 3rd wager buying 3 pts.
