The Knights are 29th in effective field goal percentage and fifth in three-point percentage. FDU plays very little defense, ranking 295th nationally. Go Over.

The Panthers play fast on offense and pressure teams into quick shots. Fairleigh Dickinson shoots the three ball really well but if forced into quicker shots than normal, the Knights won't be as accurate. The Panthers love to drive to the basket for high-percentage shots, plus they draw a lot fouls. This could put a couple of FDU shooters in foul trouble. Last but not least, Prairie View A&M plays far better defense.

The Owls probably don't deserve to be in the play-in game, as they have been an NCAA Tournament-quality team all year, with a resume felled only by a relatively weak non-conference schedule. Seven of Temple's nine losses came by single figures. The Owls feature a savvy, experienced backcourt, a major asset this time of year. We've heard and seen the hype on Belmont before -- four times this decade. The Bruins annually receive a ton of mid-major sweetheart hype, and never live up to it. In fact, all four prior trips to the NCAA Tournament have ended in double-figures losses.

I feel this line is too high as people are over reacting to Dayton having to travel across country on short notice for this game. I also have to wonder what the mindset of Colorado is as they had a chance to go to The PAC 12 Championship game but came up short against Washington. Dayton is shooting the ball well right now hitting over 50% in 6 of their last 9 games while Colorado’s shooting has been declining in 5 straight games bottoming out in last game hitting just 32% against Washington. Note Dayton is 8-1 ATS on the road over the last 3 seasons following an Upset loss as a Favorite. My numbers have Dayton winning by 3-5 points.

It's no secret that Belmont has an intimidating pace of play. That being said, even the second-ranked scoring team in the country still can be contained by another team. Nerves will be through the roof in the First Four, and Temple loves to utilize the majority of the shot clock each possession.
