Belmont has been a machine all year and took care of Temple easily in the Play in game. Some will feel that Maryland is rested and has an advantage but I feel just the opposite. Belmont already has a game under their belt so any Big Dance nerves are gone as they took out Temple to advance. Maryland was very inconsistent this year and went 3-4 over its final 7 games. Jeff Jones has ODU playing its best basketball at the right time. The Monarchs play extremely slow and excellent defense. They have not allowed a team to score more than 65 since Feb. 2. They did beat the two best teams on their schedule winning at Syracuse by six and against VCU by 13. Purdue tempo is well below average working the ball around the perimeter looking for a good three-point shot. If those 3's don't fall ODU is in the game. With the total just 126, points will be at a premium.

Yale is an uptempo team ranking 57th in the country in time of possession plus its strength is offense, with the 11th most-effective FG shooting team in the country, hitting 3's at a 37 percent rate. The defense is another story, ranking 148th in points per possession allowed mainly because it never gets a turnover and has a hard time keeping opponents off of the offensive boards. LSU is the No. 5 offensive rebounding team in the nation and should have a field day on second shots. LSU pressures on defense creating teams to shoot quick which will be on problem for Yale. LSU does not shoot the three well but does take the ball to the basket for layups and trips to the free throw line where they do knock down the freebies.

I would've bet Kansas at the opening number of -8 1/2 but overwhelming support for Northeastern has dropped the line two full points. Yes the Jayhawks could've played for a National Championship if Silvio De Sousa was not ruled ineligible and the did not lose Udoka Azubuike and Lagerald Vick for the season. But please don't feel sorry for the Jayhawks because they will start three McDonald All-American freshmen with double-double machine Dedric Lawson. Northeastern's weakness is defense, ranked 144th in the country. Its best win this season was against No. 65 Alabama.

Syracuse was -2 and then news came out the starting point guard Frank Howard would be suspended for violating team rules. Howard missed the first four games of the year and the Cuse went 2-2 SU/1-3 ATS. His first game back Boeheim said he was the leader of his team and the most important player. Syracuse leading scorer Tyus Battle missed the Duke game and Howard was the one guy who stepped up to keep his team in the game. Battle missed the game because of a hip injury which Boeheim said early in the day that Battle had no chance to play. Battle is far from 100 percent and without Howard, I can not see them staying close to Baylor. The Bears strength is on the offensive end, especially offensive rebounding which is Syracuse's weakness on defense.

After playing back to back games right down to the wire against Marquette and Villanova I feel Seton Hall has to be drained. Villanova had Seton Hall on the ropes but couldn’t close them out on Saturday as their decision making with the ball in the final 2 minutes kept Seton Hall hanging around to get the cover. Seton Hall was +7 in TO’s and Villanova missed 7 Free Throws and that is what made it just a 2 point loss for Seton Hall. Wofford will not have those kind of mistakes. In Wofford’s last 11 games they shot over 50% in 6 of the games and over 46% in all but one game. Over the last 3 seasons Wofford is 15-4 ATS when they have covered 6 or more of their last 8 games. This shows their consistency as well as the fact that they keep out performing the market. My numbers have Wofford winning by 8-10 points.

Nice 7* Winner yesterday and 4-0 now with CBB Step-Outs. We are also 2-1 in March Madness for +$1070 so far. Don't forget we are 4-0 with 8*MLB Futures, Back to Back Winning MLB Years and 4 of 5 Winning Years, we have a great passion for Baseball and we can't wait for the MLB Season this year. We roll with the Over here between these two teams because we watched LSU very closely in their last game against Florida and they were a defensive mess in that game if you noticed. Not having Will Wade is a huge loss to this team as even though he is helping this team game prep, it is still not the same thing. This team is not making the adjustments necessary to do well and this is likely going to come to full fruition as they face a Yale team who can score with great ease. I do think LSU will be fantastic on the offensive end however and therefore this game likely goes over. Yes, the total is high, but note that LSU typically does well offenively off a loss, this team faced a very good Michael White coached Florida Defense and put up 73 against them and Yale is outside the top 140 in defense. Yale dropped 77 on Miami earlier this year when they beat them, lost 102-109 to Memphis in Overtime earlier this year and even dropped 70 on Vermont. Look for a likely higher scoring affair than most realize as this game likely goes over the posted total this early afternoon.
