We made a lot of money in the 1st Round games zeroing in on fading the teams that Won their Conference Championship Game as too often these teams struggle in their opening round game. Whether it’s that they are Feeling all Fat N Sassy or playing 3 or 4 games in as many days just leaves their mental and physical tanks empty. But for those teams that have had that scare and survive they are the better for it and that is Auburn today. Auburn had to fight and claw their way to a victory on Thursday over a very good New Mexico St team while Kansas had basically a laugher over a Northeastern team that was in way over their heads. Now Kansas looks better than they really are off of that 34 point blowout. This was a down year for Kansas and they will be exposed today by a good Auburn team. I will admit the one area that Kansas has an edge is coaching as Bill Self over Bruce Pearl is big but the talent difference on the floor is bigger. Kansas won by 15 or more points 6 times this season and was 0-6 ATS in the next game. Following a win this year Kansas is just 8-15 ATS in their next game. One final note over the last 2 seasons when Auburn is coming off a game where there was 155 or more total points scored they are 19-6 ATS in their next game. My numbers have Auburn winning by 7-9 points.
