Is there any team that looks worst than Duke still alive in the tournament? Public perception is that Duke is lucky to still be alive. Maybe thats true but the fact is they are still here and that public perception has created value with Duke. Duke came in as the favorite to win it all and now people want to fade them. Yes Michigan St looked very good in their dismantling of Minnesota and LSU but Minnesota really wasn’t good and LSU was playing with an interim Head Coach. Tom Izzo had a huge coaching edge in that game. So after two Michigan St blowouts and now Michigan St looks like a live dog here. I’m not buying it. Remember no team is as good as their best game nor are they as bad as their worst game. Michigan St can’t look any better than they have the last two games but today that all changes. If this game is close late Duke owns a big edge as they just won a pair of back to back close games where as Michigan St hasn’t had to face any adversity. Note Michigan St is 0-6 ATS after allowing 65 points or less 5 straight games the last 2 seasons. I feel Duke should be a bigger Favorite here so I can’t pass up the value as my numbers have Duke winning by 7-9 points.
