DAYBREAK (GB) - Don't often see a profitable return on investment like +905. This jockey/conditioner duet has done well together over the last year. Ran a less than stellar race at Santa Anita in the last race. Racing with the benefit of a fast track puts this filly at the top of my contenders list. Running on the grass today, you should review a horse's class. This one has the top number in the bunch. BOLDEST VOW - This thoroughbred could be tough this time, especially since Figueroa rode last race out and now should be familiar with this one. Sub-par effort last time around the track at Santa Anita was due to the off-going (she finished fourth). Will do better in this field without the off-track conditions. ROSES AND CANDY - Sanchez was aboard this filly last time around the track and was impressed enough to take the animal right back. The 89 most recent race speed fig looks strong on paper. BEYOND PLEASURE - Forgive the off the board finish on the off track last time around the track. On a fast track, has a good shot right here in this race. Personally, I wouldn't worry about where she finished in her last race (sixth). Should improve right here in this race, with some pretty good odds. Look at this pattern of improvement. 73/79/86 are the last 3 speed figs.

LIL RESPECT - This less than sharp equine ran a substandard speed fig last time out. She shouldn't run much better and will likely lose today running that figure. MORE SMORES - Didn't land in the money on Nov 23rd at Del Mar. Followed it up with another less than stellar effort. This filly recorded a speed figure in her last event which probably isn't good enough in today's event.

Had one of the top Equibase Speed Figures of this field in his last race. TO BLAVE - Could provide positive profits based on solid recent Equibase Speed Figs with an average of 87. He has decent class ratings, averaging 92, and has to be carefully examined in this contest.

I have to consider QUEEN FABIOLA here. She has a good opportunity in this race as handler, Velez, has strong win rate with horses going this distance. Diaz will probably be able to get this filly to break out sharply for this event. Had one of the top speed figures of this group in her last contest. BRUJERIA - She has garnered strong numbers under today's conditions and ought to fare well against this group. Velez and Figueroa have won 24 percent of their races giving this racer a quite good chance. CHELSIE EXPRESS - Always good to invest in a conditioner with this kind of respectable win percentage - 23 percent - at this distance & surface. Has been consistently running well lately.

DIXIE PRINCESS - Likes to go to the front and the fact that today is a shorter distance should help. This thoroughbred has recorded the best recent turf speed figure at the dist-surf. SECRET O'LIFE - I like to wager on this handicapping theory, a pony coming back off a nice race within the last 30 days. This horse picks up a lot of money per race. I believe she can augment the lifetime bankroll right here in this race.

DUBAIAN - Can't wager on this questionable contender in today's sprint of 7 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't even hit the board in a sprint race lately.
