Yes I know how good this Virginia defense is as personally I like Virginia to move on to the championship game and came very close to releasing them but I didn’t want to lay 6 points as number was 5 early in the week. I do feel there is value in the total as this Virginia offense is much better than past editions of Virginia teams. It also must be noted that the Auburn defense isn’t that good. I see Virginia with a lead and Auburn having to keep pushing the pace and when it’s late and Auburn has to foul Virginia is a team that extends its lead at the foul line as they hit 74% of their free throws. I see Virginia getting to 74 or more points in this game which means we just need 60 out of Auburn to cash on the Over. I see 137 or more points being scored here.

That will not the be the case on Saturday, as Michigan State is the much better offensive team in this match-up and will pull away late to win this game by 5-7 points. The Spartans are 26-9 ATS in their last 35 games.

Virginia has been playing with the most pressure of any team in this tournament and tonight will be no different. They should have lost to Purdue on Saturday and will not be as fortunate as they were in that game. Virginia is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 NCAA Tournament games. Auburn is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games.

Auburn has posted a 4-1 record in their last five games where they faced a team with a winning record and they are an excellent 5-1 ATS in their last six versus a team with a winning % of .600 or higher. They have also covered the number in four of their last five neutral site games and they are an impressive 8-2 ATS in their last ten games following a straight up win. Virginia, on the other hand, has struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have failed to cover the number in six of their last eight NCAA Tournament games and we think they are going to have trouble stopping Auburn when the Tigers get out in transition, which is something they should try and do from the opening tip. Throw in the fact that Auburn is 8-2 ATS in their last ten games overall along with the fact that the underdog is a perfect 4-0 ATS in the last four head to head meetings between the two schools and we're taking the points here with Auburn in a game that we think they have a decent chance to win outright in Minnesota on Saturday night.
