Milwaukee players still have a bitter taste in their collective mouths since falling in Game 7 at home of the NLCS. Winning the season series against L.A. is not going to replace that anguish, but it becomes a building block if they meet again.
After a good first start, Julio Urias has been batted around for nine runs (8 earned) in only 8 2/3 innings. His lone loss came to Milwaukee who scored six runs off the lefty and took him deep twice. Zach Davies has allowed one run in his last three starts against Los Angeles, covering 20 innings, all wins for him and his team. The MLB odds have Milwaukee at +110 on the money line and they are superb 20-7 off a loss and 37-14 in Game 1's of series.

Arizona starter Luke Weaver has been the victim of some bad luck, as suggested by the fact his ERA is 5.17 while his FIP is at a more respectable 3.81, but other peripherals suggest there may not be more pleasant results in the future. Plus, while Weaver gets a lot of groundballs, the amount of flyballs he allows is a concern. Particularly in SunTrust Park during the day with the wind blowing out strongly to left field.

The Royals have won just one road game all season and are 0-4 as a road underdog. Homer Bailey mowed down the struggling Indians his last outing, but was shelled by the HR-hitting Mariners the one before. The Yankees can hit the long ball, too, and Domingo German has looked unhittable as he rejoins the rotation. The Royals' offense doesn't have the firepower to keep up, and their bullpen is among the worst, so there's little relief if Bailey gets in trouble.
