8-Unit Play. Take #542 Denver -6 over San Antonio (Saturday, April 27 at 10:00 p.m)
This series started off extremely slow for the Nuggets as they struggled to get a split at home. They had a big comeback in game 2 and then they won a game in San Antonio to regain the home court advantage. They dominated game 5 at home and I look for a similar effort tonight. It was fairly predictable that they would struggle in game 6 in San Antonio but I look for a great team effort in this deciding game 7.
Denver was one of the top three teams in the league this year and they earned the right to play at home in this deciding game. Murray played really well in game 5 and that was the deciding factor. He was +33 in that game and I look for him to excel again tonight. Jokic gets all of the press and deservingly so. He is absolutely a top 10 player in this league. However, the Nuggets are at their best when Murray plays well. I've watched the young fella grow up this season and in this series. I look for a big performance from him (and Jokic) and I look for the Nuggets to win this game comfortably.
Denver is better and deeper than the Spurs. The Spurs had the experience advantage coming into this series, but I strongly believe the way the Nuggets came back in game 2 and their performance in game 5 has given them some really good playoff experience.
San Antonio will battle and play hard but they are simply outclassed. I won't be shocked at all to see one of the spark plugs off of the Denver bench give them a huge lift tonight. Having said that, I look for Murray and Jokic to really play well and lead this Denver team into the second round riding high!

Rotation #541-542
Spurs +6 over Nuggets
Denver is a talent team, but they are young. This is one of the least experienced playoff rosters ever and I just can’t see them winning a game in runaway fashion. The Spurs have excellent coaching which goes a long way in a game seven setting. Denver will live and die by the three ball tonight. If the Spurs guard the line they will advance. This game should come right down to the wire. Take the Spurs.

Brandon Woodruff fits out FIP system almost to a T. His ERA sits at a "woeful" 5.91 with an FIP/xFIP of 3.80/3.81. He sports a very hard luck .366 BABIP which his norm is right around .295.
This is a solid spot to back a pitcher unknown to most facing Thor yet almost dead even with him...and the better offense!
