    MLB | NYM vs WAS
    Play on: OVER 8 -105

The MLB Comp play is on the Over in the NY. Mets at Washington Nationals game at 7:05 eastern. The Mets have gone over in 5 of 7 vs a lefty and the last 5 on the road vs a losing team. The Nationals are 28 of 41 over at home including 6 of the last 7 vs a team that is .500 or less. The Nats are 6 of 7 over on Wednesdays. They have also gone over in 3 of 4 here with Corbin Pitching. The Mets are expected to start W. Font but he will most likely go just a few innings in what could be more of a bull pen game. To tie in a nice 80% totals system. We are playing the over for road dogs of 135 or more that are off a -140 or more road favored win scoring 5+ runs, vs an opponent off a home dog loss scoring 4 or less runs with both teams getting 1 or no errors. Look for this game to soar over the total tonight. Rob V- GC Sports

      MLB | Cardinals vs Braves
Play on: Braves -132 at 5Dimes

Ben Burns is SO HOT with his 'premium' plays that his 10-2 RECORD with 'free' plays isn't getting much attention. Thats ok. Here's another winner, this one coming from today's Cards/Braves contest.
The Cards won big yesterday but the Braves should bounce back today. You may not have heard but Soroka is doing some special things. He's got an amazing 1.21 ERA on the season. Last time out, he became the first pitcher ever (since they started tracking earned runs in 1913) to allow one or less earned runs in eight of his first 10 starts. He's got a 0.69 ERA through two May starts. Wacha, on the other hand, has a poor 6.32 ERA in three starts, since returning from injury. The Braves are 7-3 the last 10 times that they attempted to avenge a loss where their opponent scored 12 or more runs. They hit Wacha hard (4 earned runs, 8 hits in five innings) the last time that they saw him and I like their chances here. Consider Atlanta.

T.M. Selection: Toronto Raptors (1* FREE PLAY)
Toronto lost three of four to Milwaukee in the regular season, but I think Kawhi Leonard and company will at the very least take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals right down to the wire. These teams are similar in many respects, in that they have a clear top tier dominant player (Leonard for the Raptors and Giaanis Antetokounmpo for the Bucks), as well as a strong cast of starting role players, combined with a deep and talented bench. Toronto’s late acquisition of big man Marc Gasol could swing this series in favor of Toronto though as he and Serge Ibaka proved to be too much for 76ers’ big man Joel Embiid to handle. And I think the combination of the two will prove difficult for Milwaukee as well. The Bucks have yet to be tested in any real way so far in the Playoffs, but I believe that changes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks Preview and Predictions 05-15-2019 in NBA

Two of the best players in the league begin pursuit of an NBA Finals berth when the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks host the second-seeded Toronto Raptors in Wednesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals. Leading MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo has dominated while helping Milwaukee outscore teams by an average of 15.3 points in the postseason, while Toronto's Kawhi Leonard is again a playoff star and made the decisive basket as time expired in the conference semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Raptors are in the Eastern Conference finals for just the second time in franchise history and they made it by riding Leonard's 41 points to a 92-90 victory over the 76ers, including the four bounces on the rim shot that is the first Game 7-winning buzzer-beater in NBA history. "Ended up getting a soft touch and it went in," explained Leonard, who is averaging 31.8 points in 12 playoff games, including a franchise record nine straight 20-point outings. Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.4 points and 11.3 rebounds as the Bucks went 8-1 against the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics to reach the East finals for the first time 2001. "At the end of the day, we realize we've never been there before," Antetokounmpo told reporters of the current group. "We're really hungry to achieve our goals. That's all we care about. As long as we play hard, we really don't care about what anybody has to say."

TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, TNT, Sportsnet (Toronto)

ABOUT THE RAPTORS: Leonard is carrying the attack and has made Toronto a viable threat to reach the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history. "It's amazing to me, whether we're in the huddle, locker room or film room, he's always locked in on what the coaching staff is saying and I think that's an interesting thing about him," Raptors coach Nick Nurse told reporters. "He's very coachable. He's focused and pays attention. I think that's a pretty big statement to say that. Then you get to his play in the playoffs and it's been at an elite level." Power forward Pascal Siakam (20.8 points per game) and point guard Kyle Lowry (12.4) are the only other Raptors averaging in double digits in the postseason but Lowry is shooting just 41.5 percent from the field.

ABOUT THE BUCKS: Milwaukee's four second-round victories over the Boston Celtics were by an average of 16.3 points and seven of its eight postseason wins have been by 10 or more points. Antetokounmpo's supporting class has been solid with small forward Khris Middleton (19.1) and point guards Eric Bledsoe (16.0) and George Hill (12.1) making strong contributions. Combo guard Malcolm Brogdon is a full-go for the series after scoring 10 points in 17 minutes in the clinching win over Boston after missing the previous seven-plus weeks with a foot injury.

                  BUZZER BEATERS

                  1. Antetokounmpo averaged 27 points and 15.3 rebounds as the Bucks won three of the four regular-season meetings.

                  2. Toronto SF OG Anunoby (abdomen) has been ruled out of the opener, and has yet to play in the postseason.

                  3. Middleton has made multiple 3-pointers in all nine playoff games and has made 28 overall.

                  PREDICTION: Bucks 108, Raptors 104

San Jose Sharks vs. St. Louis Blues Preview and Predictions 05-15-2019 in NHL

The San Jose Sharks have been in this precise position in each of the two previous rounds, having posted a convincing win in the series opener only to turn around and relinquish home-ice advantage with a loss in the following contest. The Sharks aim to get back on track Wednesday when the Western Conference final shifts to the Gateway City for Game 3 against the St. Louis Blues.

"Every series we get a great first game and the second kind of a little bit struggling," San Jose forward Tomas Hertl said after a 4-2 setback in Game 2 on Monday. "It's still fine, but we have to be better, we can't play like that." There has been little issue with the production of Logan Couture (NHL-best 13 goals, 19 points), who recorded his fourth multi-goal performance of the playoffs and second in as many games on Monday by tallying twice in a span of 1:59 during the second period. St. Louis' Jaden Schwartz has also produced as his goal in the first period of Game 2 pushed him within one of becoming the fourth player in franchise history to score at least 10 times in one playoff season. "It's definitely the (most fun) time of the year," said the 26-year-old Schwartz, who scored 11 goals in 69 regular-season games. "I had some struggles earlier that I haven't really had before, but once playoff starts ... I don't know, you just embrace the games, have fun with it. I don't really try to think too much about it."

TV: 8 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network, CBC, Sportsnet 360, TVAS

ABOUT THE SHARKS: San Jose's third line has struggled to make its mark in the playoffs, as Joe Thornton and Kevin Labanc have mustered just one point each in the last eight contests while Marcus Sorensen is mired in a seven-game point drought. "We've got another level, I think," said the 39-year-old Thornton, who owns a team-worst minus-7 rating in the playoffs. One such defensive issue saw Thornton trailing the play as Blues defenseman Roberto Bertuzzo pinched in and scored the eventual game-winning goal late in the second period on Monday.

ABOUT THE BLUES: While much has been made of Thornton's pursuit of the Stanley Cup, St. Louis defenseman Jay Bouwmeester is on a lengthy quest of his own -- one that has spanned 16 NHL seasons and 1,184 regular-season games. "That's part of the reason why he's still playing. That's the end game," the 35-year-old Bouwmeester said of Thornton. Fellow defenseman Alex Pietrangelo set up Oskar Sundqvist's insurance goal late in the third period on Monday for his 12th point of the postseason, one shy of Schwartz for the team lead.

                    OVERTIME

                    1. St. Louis' Jordan Binnington is one win shy of becoming the 10th rookie goaltender in NHL history to reach double digits in a single postseason.

                    2. San Jose RW Timo Meier has six points (two goals, four assists) in his last four games.

                    3. The Blues failed on all five power-play attempts in Game 2 and are 1-for-26 with the man advantage in their past eight contests.

                    PREDICTION: Sharks 3, Blues 2

                      Kevin Rogers

Hottest team: Astros (9-1 last 10)

Houston has topped the 100-win mark in each of the last two seasons and took home the AL West crown. The Astros are well on their way to the top of the division once again as they own the top record in baseball at 28-15 following their second straight blowout of the Tigers at Comerica Park. Houston ripped Detroit in Monday’s series opener, 8-1, then followed that rout with another victory by a decisive margin, 11-4 on Tuesday. The Astros have plated 45 runs in the last four games, while scoring at least six runs in nine of their past 11 victories.

Former Tigers’ standout Justin Verlander looks to improve on a 6-1 record in his nine starts for Houston, while tossing seven innings of one-hit ball in a 3-0 shutout of Texas his last time out. Verlander has allowed one earned run or less in five of his past six trips to the mound, as the Astros seek their sixth consecutive win at Comerica Park since last season.

Coldest team: Rangers (3-9 last 12)

Texas has not been a team to back in series openers this season as the Rangers stumbled to 2-12 in Game 1’s after an 11-5 defeat at Kansas City. The Rangers have allowed at least 10 runs in each of their last three games, while falling to 5-15 away from Arlington this season. This marks the second five-game losing streak for Texas in 2019, but the Rangers are actually listed as a road favorite heading into Wednesday’s action with the Royals.

Mike Minor is winless in his last two appearances for Texas since striking out 13 batters in seven innings of a 15-1 rout of Seattle on April 27. In Minor’s past two starts, the Rangers have scored a grand total of two runs in losses to the Blue Jays and Astros, while Texas is 1-3 in his four road appearances. Last season, Minor defeated the Royals at home, 8-4, but allowed four earned runs in six innings of work.

Hottest pitcher: Gio Gonzalez, Brewers (1-0, 1.69 ERA)

Gonzalez ended last season with Milwaukee after getting traded by Washington, but the southpaw is back with the Brewers in spite of not starting 2019 with the organization. The veteran left-hander signed a minor-league deal with the Yankees in March, but never started with the big club as he opted out of his deal to re-sign with Milwaukee. It has worked out for both parties as Gonzalez has yielded three earned runs in three starts, while Milwaukee is 2-1 in his three outings. Gonzalez strung together seven scoreless innings against the Cubs last Friday in a 7-0 victory at Wrigley Field, but he is winless in his previous three trips to Philadelphia since 2017.

Coldest pitcher: Sonny Gray, Reds (0-4, 4.15 ERA)

Another pitcher that changed squads in the offseason expecting positive results hasn’t seen that return in 2019. Gray has started eight games for the Reds, but Cincinnati has won only two of those outings, while the right-hander doesn’t have a win to his credit. The Reds are 2-1 in Gray’s last three starts at Great American Ballpark as Cincinnati continues its series with Chicago. The Cubs topped the Reds in the opener, 3-1, marking the ninth win in the last 10 matchups with Cincinnati since last season.

Biggest OVER run: Red Sox (9-3 last 12)

Boston squandered a 3-0 lead and lost to Colorado on Tuesday, 5-4 in 11 innings despite the Rockies striking out 24 times. The game barely cashed the OVER of 8 ½, as the Red Sox offense couldn’t build off the 34-run output from the weekend sweep of the Mariners. Boston has now hit the OVER in six of the last seven games at Fenway Park, as the Sox send out left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound on Wednesday in the series finale against Colorado. Rodriguez has seen the OVER hit in seven of eight starts this season, including all four home outings.

Biggest UNDER run: Cubs (6-0 last six)

Chicago is right behind Houston for the best record in baseball entering Wednesday’s action at 25-14 after winning its 13th game in the last 15 tries in Tuesday’s 3-1 triumph at Cincinnati. The Cubs’ pitching staff has stepped up following a rough start to the season as Chicago has allowed two runs or less in six of the past seven games. Since getting shut out by Milwaukee on Friday, 7-0, the Cubs have yielded three runs in the previous 33 innings, while not scoring more than four runs in any of the last six games. Yu Darvish takes the mound for the Cubs on Wednesday as the right-hander is 3-1 to the UNDER his past four starts, but two of those UNDERS came on totals above 10 as tonight’s total opened at 9.

Matchup to watch: Cardinals vs. Braves

Heading into Tuesday’s opener at SunTrust Park, St. Louis had lost three straight games, while Atlanta was flying high with three consecutive wins to wrap up its road trip. The Cardinals roughed up the Braves in the series opener, 14-3 as St. Louis went deep four times, including Marcell Ozuna knocking out a three-run shot to start the scoring in the first inning.

Atlanta slipped to 10-11 at home and 1-4 in the past five series openers at SunTrust Park. Mike Soroka has been impressive in five starts for the Braves this season by compiling a 1.21 ERA, while not allowing more than two runs in any outing. Soroka picked up a no-decision his last time out at Arizona as he tossed six innings and allowed four hits and one run, but the Braves lost in extra innings, 3-2. The right-hander has not received much run support as the Braves have scored three runs or fewer in four of his five starts.

The Cardinals picked up their first road victory since May 1, while snapped a four-game skid away from Busch Stadium. Michael Wacha has not been sharp this season for the Redbirds, but he is benefiting from a strong performance from the St. Louis lineup. The Cards are 4-1 in Wacha’s last five starts, thanks to six or more runs or support, including a 17-spot dropped by St. Louis in a 13-run rout of Pittsburgh last Thursday.

                      Betcha didn’t know:
The Nationals are an absolute disaster right now, coming off Tuesday’s 6-2 home defeat to the Mets. Washington fell to 6-14 the last 20 games, but three of those wins have come with Patrick Corbin on the mound. The former Arizona southpaw gets the nod on Wednesday against New York for the third time this season as the Nationals won a 6-5 decision on March 31, followed by a 6-5 setback at Citi Field less than a week later.
