I'm on a 16-8 run with free plays, and it'll stay that way with what I'm releasing today, since it's a future bet in the (gulp!) WNBA. Yes, the WNBA.
Believe it or not, the Las Vegas Aces are favored to win the WNBA Championship this season, after they acquired 7-foot Liz Cambage last week. She joins A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young and Kayla McBride to form what will be the strongest starting five in the league.
Wilson, Plum and Young are No. 1 picks, Cambage was a No. 2 choice and McBride was taken No. 3 in her draft.
Add in the former 6th Woman of the Year Sugar Rodgers, and this is a team that should make a run into the postseason, and could contend for the title once the chemistry is in place.
Coach Bill Laimbeer said he had a three-year plan to vault this team to the top of the league, and in year two of the franchise being in Las Vegas, the oddsmakers have made them the top choice now that Cambage is in town.
With Seattle missing Breanna Stewart for the season, and Phoenix losing Diana Taurasi for the first part of the season, the Western Conference will likely be dominated by the Aces and Los Angeles Sparks.
At +250, the Aces are well worth the investment, as they should be playing into September, and for the title.
