BOSTON @ N.Y. YANKEES | 6/02 | 7:05 PM EDT

The Yankees are underdogs? Sign me up. Boston starter David Price’s struggles at Yankee Stadium are well documented. He’s 0-6 with a 9.79 ERA and 13 home runs allowed in six starts and 30.1 innings as a member of the Red Sox. Meanwhile New York has won 15 of 18 and are 4-0 against Boston this season. In addition, the Yankees bullpen has gone 24.2 innings without allowing a run. My model says the Bombers win this game more than half the time. Take New York getting plus money.

My simulations say the Diamondbacks win this game more than 60 percent of the time, so you’re getting strong value here. The Mets start lefty Steven Matz, and Arizona crushes lefthanded pitching. The Diamondbacks rank second in the majors in batting average (.297) and OPS (.877) against southpaws. Meanwhile, Arizona starter Merrill Kelly is 2-2 with a 2.64 ERA in five starts at Chase Field. Go with the Diamondbacks.

Tigers starter Matthew Boyd has a streak of 12 straight shutout innings, but those came against the woeful Orioles and Marlins. He’ll find the sledding much tougher against a Braves lineup that ranks sixth in the majors in batting average (.269) and OPS (.811) against lefties. Atlanta starter Julio Teheran has been hot himself. In his last five starts, he has allowed five runs, struck out 19 and walked five and has an ERA of 0.98. My model says the Braves win almost 70 percent of the time, so this is solid value.

OVER 8.5 WASHINGTON @ CINCINNATI | 6/02 | 1:10 PM EDT
11:03 AM
Being the contrarian that I am, I tend to like taking the Over in games Max Scherzer is starting, and it usually pays off. The Over is 6-0-1 in his last seven road starts as well as 3-1-1 in his last five starts overall. He's so good that it tends to depress totals in games he's starting. The fact the wind is blowing straight out in a park that's already friendly to hitters doesn't hurt my confidence, either.
GOLDEN ST. @ TORONTO | 6/02 | 8:00 PM EDT
YESTERDAY 3:27 PM
I think this number will drop during gameday with more than 70 percent of the public on Golden State. I think the Raptors could drop to as low as Pick or -1 on Sunday. Toronto's home court will be rocking once again and is worth five points. The Raptors had a great showing in Game 1, flashing their length on offense but more importantly on defense. They have a clear-cut advantage in matchups, and their bench of Fred VanVleet, Serge Ibaka and Norman Powell is also an advantage in this series.
HOUSTON @ OAKLAND | 6/02 | 4:07 PM EDT
12:44 AM
Chris Bassitt has looked shaky in his last two starts, allowing eight earned runs in 8.2 innings. The Astros have won 20 of their past 27 visits to Oakland and Gerrit Cole has dominated in three of his past four starts. Over that span, he's fanned 38. Lay it with Houston.

Cole Hamels has an ugly 1.72 WHIP over his last seven starts, and he posted a 5.19 ERA in May. Overall, he's been much worse on the road this season. Grab the value on the Cardinals.

L.A. ANGELS @ SEATTLE | 6/02 | 4:10 PM EDT
11:34 AM
This line is a bit insulting to the Mariners. The Angels are giving their southpaw rookie Jose Suarez the callup on the road for his first major league start. There’s no question I give the hitting edge to the Angels, but the pitching edge is an overwhelming check mark to the Mariners. Marco Gonzales has won his last two starts against the Angels giving up just four earned in more than 15 innings. He goes very deep into games which is really important due to the fact that the Mariners rank 28th in Bullpen ERA. We should avoid that Sunday afternoon and see Gonzales dominant from start to finish. The Mariners should be the heavy favorite, take them at near even money.

CHI. CUBS @ ST. LOUIS | 6/02 | 2:15 PM EDT
11:32 AM
The Cubs need to be the favorite here. Cole Hamels has not only shown he has a lot left in the tank, but comes in with an unbelievable track record against the Cardinals. Alone in his last three matchups versus them he has given up just two runs in over 21 innings. That’s an ERA of 0.85. On the other hand we have Adam Wainwright who doesn’t have the same success rate against this opponent. In his last two starts he has given up nine runs in just 10 innings. Cubs who have struggled of late will pick up their seventh win in their last 11 matchups versus the Cardinals.

This total is a direct result of the amount of Overs these two teams have combined to hit in May. These two pitchers will make it very hard to hit more than seven runs combined let alone nine that Vegas has set. Both Zach Davies and Jordan Lyles are having all star years entering Sunday with ERA’s of 2.19 and 3.09, respectively. This elite pitching matchup along with the underwhelming Pirates lineup makes a phenomenal case to watch this total cash the Under no issue.
