My free play for Friday is on the Washington Nationals over the San Diego Padres and I want you listing the scheduled starting pitchers: Erick Fedde and Nick Margevicius.
Fedde has already faced this team, as he made his 2019 season debut against these same Padres, when he threw four shutout innings in relief on April 28 in D.C. Tonight he'll be looking to rebound from a short in Cincinnati in his last start. He only gave up two runs, but it was over a mere four innings.
He should have no trouble stifling a Padres offense that is hitting just .218 over the last 10 games, and been outscored by 16 runs.
Fedde will get plenty of run support from his teammates, as they take on Margevicius, who has a brutal 9.17 ERA in his last four outings. Washington is in on a 7-3 run behind a .268 batting average and +18 run differential.
