Team Betting Notes

-- Atlanta (1-4 SU, 1-4 ATS) has dropped four in a row since picking up a victory in their opener. However, they were at least able to grab a narrow cover in a home loss against Connecticut (5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS) after opening the season 0-4 ATS. The 'under' has gone 4-1 across the Dream's first five outings, too.

-- As far as the Sun is concerned, they're off to a tremendous start, and have a showdown with Washington (4-1 SU, 3-2 ATS) on Tuesday night, as those teams have the two best records in the WNBA so far. The game is at home, and the Sun has posted a perfect 3-0 SU/ATS mark in their three games on their home floor so far. The 'over' is 2-1 in those three games, but the 'under' is 4-2 overall for Jonquel Jones and company.

-- For the Mystics, they have surprised with four consecutive wins after losing to the Sun in Connecticut to open the season May 25. They're 4-0 SU/3-1 ATS since, and the 'over' is 3-1 over their past four games as well.

-- Dallas (0-4 SU, 2-2 ATS) continues to search for its first victory of the season, but they have still been a friend to bettors. The 'under' is a perfect 4-0 for the Wings so far.

-- Indiana (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS) will try to avoid becoming the first victim of the Wings when they travel to the Metroplex later this week. Like the Wings, the Fever have been a friend to total bettors during the early going. The 'over' is 4-1 overall, and 2-0 in their two road outings.

-- Los Angeles (3-2 SU, 2-2-1 ATS) picked up a hard-fought win in Minnesota (4-2 SU, 2-3-1 ATS) in front of a raucous home crowd and national television audience, a very nice win as 4 1/2-point underdogs. The Sparks have yet to cover back-to-back games this season, going 2-2-1 ATS. After the 'under' opened 3-0, the 'over' is now 2-0 for the Sparks.

-- The Lynx fired out of the box with a 3-0 SU mark, but they're 1-2 SU over the past three while going 0-3-1 ATS across the past four. Defensive issues have been the biggest issue, as they allowed 66.3 PPG through the first three games, and 76.3 PPG over the past three. As such, the 'under' was 3-0 in their first three, and just 1-2 over the past three outings.

-- New York (1-4 SU, 2-2-1 ATS) stunned Las Vegas (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS) to win straight up as 11-point underdogs on Sunday, 88-78. The Liberty haven't had difficulty scoring the basketball, going for 80.6 PPG. They just cannot stop anyone, allowing a dismal 84.6 PPG, second-worst in the league. The totals for their games have been at 166 or higher in each of the past two.

-- The Aces were receiving talk as favorites for the WNBA championship before the season, but that talk has quickly cooled. They have yet to win or cover in consecutive games. The 'under' is 4-1 in their first five, and 3-0 in the past three. Expect them to get it together soon, as they have a ton of talent, they're just learning to jell.

-- Phoenix (2-2 SU, 2-1-1 ATS) has alternated wins and losses through the first four games, with just one home game so far. They won and covered that one, and will be back in the Valley of the Sun on Friday against L.A.

-- Seattle (3-3 SU, 3-3 ATS) has alternated wins and losses, and covers and non-covers in each of their first six outings. One thing has been consistent, the 'under' -- which is 5-1 through six contests. Surprisingly, the under connected in their most recent outing, a loss in Chicago (2-2 SU, 2-2 ATS). The under has hit in three of the first four for the Sky, too.
