Cincinnati at Cleveland 1:00 ET
Reds over Indians- These two Ohio clubs have met 21 times in this inter-league series with the Indians winning 16 times and looking for their three straight series win. Cincinnati will start Anthony DeSclafani (2-3, 4.70 ERA) who has gone more then five weeks without a victory covering five starts but is coming off of a five inning no-decision against St. Louis where he allowed just one run. Cleveland will start Zach Plesac (1-1, 1.85) who's uncle Dan Plesac is now an MLB broadcaster and former All-star. It won't be enough today. Take CINCINNATI!Comment

1* Free MLB Pick on Philadelphia Phillies -139
I really like the value here with the Phillies as a relatively small home favorite against the Diamondbacks. Philadelphia bounced from a loss in the series opener with a 7-4 win on Tuesday and are in a prime spot to get the win on Wednesday.
Phillies will have arguably their best starter on the mound in Zach Eflin, who has a 2.87 ERA and 1.194 WHIP in 12 starts. That includes an even better 2.10 ERA and 1.049 WHIP in 5 home starts. Philadelphia is 6-1 in Eflin's last 7 home starts and a perfect 6-0 in his last 6 starts in the month of June.
Arizona will counter with Merrill Kelly, who has had a tough time away from the desert. Kelly owns a 6.00 ERA and 1.638 WHIP in 7 road starts. Phillies are 25-7 in their last last 32 games vs a starter with a WHIP worse than 1.30 and are 32-18 on the season vs a right-handed starter (6-9 vs southpaws). Take Philadelphia!Comment

NHL | Blues vs Bruins
Play on: Bruins -180 at betonline
I think the Boston Bruins will win Game Seven tonight to win their second Stanley Cup champions — but I am officially passing on this play with the price well over my -150 price threshold. The Bruins have a core group of veterans with tons of Game Seven experience (including two Game Sevens in the Stanley Cup Finals) — and they have the better goaltending in Tuukka Rask who will likely win the Conn Smythe award with a Boston victory tonight. The money-line price opened in the -170 range. If that price would have dropped to -150, I would have endorsed the Bruins investment. Instead, the price has risen to the -180 range as of this afternoon. With that price, I have to expect Boston to win in this situation just over 70% of the time — and that is simply too rich for my blood against a Blue team that is 9-3 on the road in the playoffs while also sporting a 13-2-0 mark with Jordan Binnington between the pipes after a loss. If you want to have action on the side play in this game, I strongly recommend lowering the investment price by coupling Boston in a two-team parlay with my Over/Under play that I feel strongly about. That is the better money-management opportunity tonight. Best of luck — Frank.Comment

St. Louis probably thought their parade would be today (smooth move by the local newspaper) and instead, they have a winner takes all Game 7 for Lord Stanley's Cup in Boston. Hockey bettors are of the belief the Blues had their chance and have pushed the Bruins from -170 to -185 to -190. I have to agree and rested Boston team is a good one with a 28-9 record when playing with two days' rest.Comment

MLB | Brewers vs Astros
Play on: Astros -128 at pinnacle
Dave’s Wednesday Free Play:
1* on Houston Astros -128
The Key: We are getting Justin Verlander and the Astros cheap at home tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Astros are 9-2 in their last 11 games overall and just can’t be stopped despite having some injuries up and down their lineup. Verlander is 9-2 with a 2.40 ERA and 0.75 WHIP in 14 starts this year, including 3-1 with a 2.00 ERA and 0.67 WHIP in 5 home starts. He is 2-0 with a 1.08 ERA in 2 lifetime starts against the Brewers as well. Verlander is 22-4 in interleague home games lifetime. Houston is 21-7 as a favorite of -125 to -175 this season. The Brewers are 1-8 in their least 9 interleague road games. The Astros are 43-18 in Verlander’s last 61 starts. Take Houston.Comment

The Padres blew a big lead to the Giants yesterday. I expect them to come back and take Game 2 today and to even this series. Joey Luchesi has been solid at 5-3 with a 4.21 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 12 starts this season. Shaun Anderson is 1-1 with a 4.18 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in five starts for the Giants, but 0-1 with a 4.80 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in three home starts. The Padres are 4-0 in Lucchesi’s last four starts against a team with a losing record. The Giants are 2-7 in their last nine home games. San Francisco is 7-21 in its last 28 home games against a team with a winning road record. Give me the Padres.Comment
