Not getting in front of the Braves train here. They have upgraded to a first start pitcher tonight; former Cy Young winner Dallas Keuchel toes the rubber. Atlanta has won 8 out of 10 and have averaged over 8 runs a game, and almost 3 home runs per game. WOW. Strasburg (gave up 9 hits and 6 runs his last plate appearance) on the hill for the Nats, and the Key here is the Nats bullpen who is terrible and almost a 5 ERA their last 5 games. The hot hitting Braves will pull away late. GO BRAVES

  Canning has been really underappreciated since joining the Angels full time rotation...but has a pretty decent FIP/xFIP split and a really excellent curve/slide combo to go with an above average slider. He gets Wacha who they can't seem to figure out where they want him and has been, in a word, rough.
  The Cards are in a spot tonight on no rest where the record for the system is 17-53...narrowed down further though is 4-16! Great spot...and an Angels offense that is hitting a stride and a healthy Upton creating a serious danger from top to bottom....should be able to survive at least tonight in STL after they finished a long, surprisingly very difficult series. with Miami.

The Orioles have lost nine straight; my model says there's more than a 70 percent chance that streak goes to 10. Go with the Mariners.

Friday night's starter Trevor Bauer shut out these Tigers on four hits while striking out eight and walking none just five days ago. And Detroit starter Matthew Boyd has been hit hard over his last three games. Take the Indians with confidence.
