No offense is hitting as well as the Braves, who in the last week alone are batting .324 and averaging 8.7 runs per game. Over the last three weeks, too, they're an MLB-best .292 and 7.5 rpg. They face Jon Lester, who is not hot -- his ERA is over 7.00 over the last two months. On the flip side, the Cubs are hitting .236 the month of June and Julio Teheran had allowed four runs over his last eight starts before giving up six in four frames his last time out. Look for Teheran to get back on track on the road, where he's been better than at home this season.

The White Sox offense is stuck in a funk, averaging just 3.8 runs in the last week compared to the 6.0 average of the heating-up Red Sox. Meanwhile, Lucas Giolito got lit up his last outing. But all that said, opponents are hitting .180 against Giolito when he's on the road, and Monday's Boston lineup is hitting .211 off him. Chicago has been respectable against left-handers, and Eduardo Rodriguez has just two quality starts his last seven outings. This is a good price a White Sox starter that has allowed one run or less in eight of his last 11 starts, and three runs just once.

The Dodgers are a ridiculous 11-1 when Clayton Kershaw gets the ball. But the Diamondbacks are 10-6 when Zack Greinke starts, and his overall numbers are just as good. Kershaw's been below average at Chase Field -- above average for most, but below for the future Hall of Famer. Arizona wins half of my computer simulations, which at this decent underdog price makes them a value. Take the home dog.

Lucas Giolito was among the game's best pitchers, until he was shelled by the Cubs last week. He's still 10-2 with a 2.74 ERA, but my projections don't believe the White Sox will do enough against Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez. Boston wins 69 percent of my simulations, which offer an implied differential of -223, so the considerable value is on that side.

But my projections find value with the Cubs, at home with the lefty on the mound. The Cubs are 22-11 this season as home favorites, and win nearly two-thirds of my simulations. Back the Cubbies.
