Why fade the Cubs when they are due? Darvish on the hill for starters. He allowed 5 runs in 5 innings his last start, and 9 runs in this last 2 starts. They have been outscored 23-6 in this series (so far) and never been in a game, and the Cubs bullpen is exhausted (8.74 ERA their last 5 games) and their starter only went 3 innings yesterday. Pitt is on fire at the plate hitting right handers at .331 as a team and Pitt's bullpen have tossed out a 0.92 ERA their last 5 games. The bullpen alone should save Pitt here if Archer struggles.
Cubs injury riddled and Darvish is known to blow up. Archer is a decent pitcher for the Pirates backed by a bullpen that is dialed in, and the Cubs simply cannot get runners over the plate. Pitt is 5-1 in Archers last 6 starts and 5-0 their last 5 at home.
