Take Under the Total in the match between South Africa and Nigeria in the Quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations. South Africa (W2-D0-L2) pulled off a big upset on Saturday when they held Mohamed Salah and the host nation, Egypt, scoreless in their 1-0 victory in the Round of 16 Knockout Stage match. Manager Stuart Baxter has this young Bafana Bafana group completely bought-in to his crafty defensive tactics. South Africa has surrendered only two goals in this tournament. Furthermore, this team has allowed only more than one goals just once in their last eighteen matches while producing ten clean sheets in their last seventeen contests. But this team’s focus on defensive tactics has contributed to them only scoring twice in their two matches. Nigeria comes off a 3-2 win over Cameroon on Saturday in a match where they had to rally from a 2-1 second half deficit. The Super Eagles had only scored twice in their three Group Stage matches before finding the back of the net three times in that Round of 16 match. These two teams played twice in the qualifiers for this tournament with South Africa winning by a 2-0 score in June of 2017 before these two teams played to a 1-1 draw last November. When this jock and trainer are put together you have to take a look. Betancourt and Tessore have been fabulous together.
