#958 Chicago Cubs with Hendricks moneyline -185 (2:20 edt)
Two teams going in very different directions right now with the Cubbies playing well and the Padres playing very poorly. Hendricks will be super motivated since he has been pitching well lately but has been not getting any run support, look for the Cubs bats to be better here against Quantrill. The Cubs are strong at home and will be primed for a win here as the play of the day for Sunday.

The Rangers look to avoid a sweep at Minute Maid Park by sending one of their most effective pitchers, righty Lance Lynn, to the mound. He'll be opposed by rookie Rogelio Armenteros, a Cuban righty who will be making his first start and who has worked two of his longest outings of the season over his last two outings, one of which came in the minors. Look for Texas to avoid the broom treatment.
MLB - Mets/Giants Over 8.5
The Mets wasted great performances from aces Noah Syndergaard and Jacob deGrom but got the bats working go put themselves in position to pick up a split before heading back home for one last run at getting back into the wild card hunt. The Giants turn to rookie Conner Menez, who will be making his debut with Drew Pomeranz headed to the bullpen. Steven Matz hasn't pitched more than five innings in over a month, while Menez will have to overcome jitters against a lineup that finally got its act together. Ride the over.
