Boston has won an astonishing 18 of Eduardo Rodriguez's last 22 road starts. The Sox have also taken five of six against left-handed starters, and the Rays start one in Jalen Beeks, who has yet to start a game this year. He only started one last year and was roughed up for six runs in four innings. Boston's offense is averaging nearly seven runs per game in July. Rodriguez hasn't thrown well against the Rays this year, but law of averages say he'll allow fewer runs than the Sox will score.

Rockies starter Peter Lambert doesn't have the best overall stats, but he's a fresh-faced 22-year-old rookie who throws at Coors Field. His only two road starts, he shut down the Cubs and held down the Dodgers. Meanwhile, Nats starter Erick Fedde has faced the Rockies twice -- he has a 12.69 ERA to show for it. Colorado is a hugely disappointing road-hitting team, but Fedde's home stats are way worse than his production on the road. The Rockies are too big an underdog here.

Astros just finished a sweep of one of the (many) divisional competitors in the Rangers and now get another series...and the A's come into this with Homer on the bump. The Royals unloaded that contract to help the A's make a run to the playoffs but how much help this will be might go a long way to being determined tonight!

Homer won his first Oakland start against the M's and didn't look all bad. His soft contact % is far too low with medium and hard dominating his contact...which is most of the time...with his swing and miss rate below 9%...now.dowm to 10% for the season! No lineup has had more medium/hard contact that the Astros against RHP this month...limiting soft contact to 5%!!!

The A's bullpen if Homer can get through the Astros bats (after Brantley x2 and Altuve took Lynn deep) have an xFIP of 4.79 this month. The Stros are not gonna have less motivation as they know they must keep the division winning going to ensure this season is as dominant as it appears!
