      MLB | Orioles vs Diamondbacks
Play on: Orioles +129 at 5Dimes

1* Free Play on Orioles +129
A pair of rookies will be on display this afternoon in Arizona when the Orioles (32-68) try to find some momentum against the .500 Diamondbacks (51-51).
Despite being in his first year in the majors, left-hander John Means (8-5, 2.95 ERA) looks like Baltimore’s best pitcher, and he’s gotten better as the season has progressed. Means is 3-1 over his past eight starts, giving up more than two earned runs just once in that period.
Diamondbacks rookie Taylor Clarke (2-3, 6.50) hasn’t enjoyed the same sort of success. The right-hander didn’t see the fourth inning his last time out after allowing four runs on seven hits against the Brewers.
If Clarke is to turn out a good performance in this matchup, he’ll have to watch out for Baltimore’s Renato Nunez. Normally DH for the Orioles but able to play at first or third, Nunez has homered in three of his last four games, including one in each of the first two games of this series.
With his team-leading 23 home runs and 55 RBIs, Nunez will hope to pair up his ability with the Hanser Alberto, who’s .306 batting average leads the squad.

        MLB | Rangers vs Mariners
Play on: Rangers -136 at 5Dimes

Jack’s Free Pick Wednesday: Texas Rangers -136
The Texas Rangers finally ended an eight-game losing streak with a 7-2 win yesterday over the Mariners. They are still above .500 this season and alive in the wild card race. But they really need to get going if they are going to stay alive.
Texas gives the ball to ace Mike Minor, who is 8-5 with a 2.86 ERA and 1.163 WHIP in 20 starts this season. Minor has owned the Mariners in 2019, going 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA with 24 K’s and only 3 earned runs allowed in 13 innings.
Mike Leake is 8-8 with a 4.27 ERA in 20 starts for the Mariners. While he has been decent this year, Leake has really struggled in recent starts against the Rangers. Indeed, Leake is 0-2 with a 9.98 ERA in his last three starts against Texas, allowing 17 earned runs and 6 homers in 15 1/3 innings.
The Mariners are 23-52 in their last 75 games overall, including 4-16 in their last 20 contests. Seattle is 1-7 in its last eight home games vs. a left-handed starter. Texas is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings. Bet the Rangers Wednesday.

            MLB | Cardinals vs Pirates
Play on: Pirates +100 at BMaker

10* FREE MLB PICK (Pirates +100)
I'll take my chances here with Pittsburgh at home against St Louis. I think this is the ideal spot to fade the Cardinals, who come in overpriced after winning 3 straight and 9 of 11 overall. No way you can trust St Louis with Adam Wainwright on the mound in a road stadium. Wainwright is 1-5 with a 6.96 ERA and 1.591 WHIP in 9 road starts. He faced the Pirates once already in Pittsburgh this season and allowed 4 runs in 4 innings of a 5-2 Pirates win. I know the numbers aren't great for Pittsburgh starter Jordan Lyles, but he is coming off a strong start at home against the Phillies, limiting them to just 1 run in 5 2/3 innings. In Lyles only start vs the Cards this year (@ STL), he allowed just 1 run on 1 hit in 6 innings. Give me the Pirates +100!

                MLB | STL vs PIT
                Play on: OVER 9½ +100

My free play is on StL/Pit Over at 7:05 ET. The St. Louis Cardinals have won the first two contests of their four-game series at Pittsburgh by one run apiece, 6-5 (10 inn) and 4-3. They've won NINE of their last 11, EIGHT of them by three runs or less, including four by just one run. The Cardinals' recent surge has moved them into second-place in the NL Central, just a half-game back of the first-place Cubs (StL leads Milwaukee by two games and currently owns the NL's second wild card spot). Meanwhile, the Pirates are fading from contention in the division with a 2-9 mark since the All-Star break to fall into last-place, 7 1/2 games back of the Cubs.. Adam Wainwright (6-7, 4.50 ERA) and Jordan Lyles (5-6, 4.91 ERA will square off in tonight's contest. Injuries limited Wainwright to just EIGHT starts in 2019 but he's been healthy enough to make 18 stats in 2019. He enters this contest off a 'ugly' start at Cincy last Friday, allowing seven ERs in just 3.1 innings. That's in keeping with his road struggles this season. Wainwright owns a 2.33 ERA in nine home starts in 2019 but his ERA balloons to 7.16 in his nine away starts. Jordan Lyles began the 2019 season just 31-52 in his career, while posting a 5.28 ERA. However, he went 5-1 with a 2.81 over his first nine starts (Pirates won EIGHT of the nine). However, Lyles takes the mound tonight with an 0-6 record in his last seven outings (Pittsburgh is 0-7!) and a bloated 8.74 ERA in his last eight starts. Taking into account Wainwright's road woes and Lyles' overalll woes and the play is O-V-E-R! Good luck...Larry

MLB | Indians vs Blue Jays
Play on: Blue Jays +126 at BMaker

1* Free MLB Pick on Toronto Blue Jays +126
Nice value here on the Blue Jays as a home dog. Toronto will be excited to come to the park on Wednesday, as they stole last night's contest 2-1. Blue Jays got a homer in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game at 1-1 and won it in the 10th.
It certainly helps having your best starter on the mound to keep the momentum going. Toronto turns to veteran Marcus Stroman, who has a strong 3.06 ERA and 1.249 WHIP in 20 starts. Stroman was dominant last time out at Detroit, giving up just 6 hits in 7 shutout innings. He's got plenty of motivation to pitch well, as he's a primary trade target for contending teams.
Indians have been a streaky offense this year and after scoring just 1 run on 6 hits I could see them struggling again at the plate on the road. Cleveland starter, Shane Bieber, is also off an ugly start at home against the Royals, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits and 4 walks in less than 6 innings of work. Take Toronto!

                    Play on: UNDER 11 -110

The MLB FREE Totals play for hump day is on the under in the NYY at Minnesota game at 8:10 eastern. Solid pitching match here with Odorrizzi for the Twins and Happ for the Yankees. Odorrizzi has allowed just 1 run in his last 13 innings against NY and has gone under the last 5 home starts vs NY. Overall he has pitched under in 10 oof his last 13 here at home. Happ has allowed just 3 runs in 12 inning of late vs the Twins and has gone under in 6 of 8 . Minnesota has gone under the total in 10 of 14 at home if the total is 10 or 10.5 and the last 7 times in game 3 of a series. Look for the Yankees and Twins to go under the the 7.5 run total tonight.. Pay the Yankees and Twins under the total.

                      12:32 PM
Adam Wainwright gave up seven runs in his last start, but the Cards made a huge comeback to win and they have won his last three starts. The Cards have won six of their last seven, including their last three. The Pirates have lost their last three and are averaging just 3.3 runs per game in the last week. I'm backing St. Louis to win on Wednesday.

The Cubs have won five of Jon Lester's last six starts, including his last three. But five of those squads had losing records. In his last start, he gave up 12 hits and four runs in 6.0 innings against the Padres. The Giants have won Tyler Beede's last three starts, and he didn't give up a run in his last start. The Cubs have lost three straight, and the Giants have won three straight. Giants to win.

Play on: Yankees -114 at sportsbook

A painful loss for Minnesota last night, blowing a 9-5 lead and losing in extra innings to the Yankees. New York backers believe the winning continues and have pumped up the Bronx Bombers from -108 to -120 over the Twins. Truthfully, not excited about either starter (J.A. Happ or Jake Odorizzi), but prefer the Yankees a touch more because Minny is only 13-11 vs. LH starters and the Twins bullpen has been hit hard repeatedly of late.
