    CLEVELAND @ KANSAS CITY | 7/25 | 8:15 PM EDT

The Royals and Indians meet for the second time this week for a new series Thursday. Suddenly the Royals have won seven of their last nine games, including consecutive victories over the Atlanta Braves. Attempting to redeem himself from a horrible debut as a Royal against the Indians will be pitcher Mike Montgomery. Montgomery lasted just two innings in last week’s start giving up six runs. As hot as the Indians have been, look for the confidence of the home underdog to deliver. Grab Kansas City.

I'll take the White Sox plus money with Lucas Giolito against any opponent. I use median numbers so a bad start here or there will not take me off a hot pitcher. Giolito's median numbers for the seven home starts is five innings, four hits, one earned run, two walks and six strikeouts. The Twins are coming off a tough series against the Yankees, who they can never win a series from, where they lost two of three games. The Twins' Jose Berrios has been the ace of the staff, his road median numbers for 2019 are six innings, six hits, three earned runs, three walks, and five strikeouts. With those pitchers stats the White Sox should be the favorite for the first five innings and the game.

        OVER 11 N.Y. YANKEES @ BOSTON | 7/25 | 7:10 PM EDT

        12:46 PM
The Yankees just finished an exciting series against the Twins, winning two of three, with all three going Over the total. The Yankees have now gone Over the total in their last five games. They average 6.4 runs per game on the road, which has helped 34 of their 46 road games get Over the total. Masahiro Tanaka and Rick Porcello met in London in the 17-13 game and neither made it out of the first inning. Over is the top play.

Mike Montgomery's first game with the Royals didn't go so hot. He was on a strict pitch count and lasted just two innings, giving up five runs -- against these Indians. Adam Plutko's last game was against the Royals, and he mowed them down for seven innings. But ... Montgomery will be motivated in his second outing and his pitch count will be higher. He'll be at home -- this season his home ERA is a ridiculous eight runs lower at home. Plutko's stats on the road aren't good either, as opponents are hitting .323 against him. Look for Kansas City and Montgomery to use revenge as a motivation at home.

Opponents are hitting .198 against Lucas Giolito at home this season, and he's allowed just four home runs in nine starts there. Twins starter Jose Berrios is having his own fine season, but his road ERA is 1.60 higher than his home split. The White Sox offense has hit a slump, but in two starts against Berrios this season, they've managed 10 runs over 14 innings. The Twins lead the league in runs scored per game on the road (6.1), but Giolito has seen the Twins once this year -- he tossed five innings of one-hit ball.

            TEXAS @ OAKLAND | 7/25 | 10:07 PM EDT
            4:48 PM
Texas has been the worst-hitting team in MLB in the month of July, going at just a .229 clip. They're still averaging a respectable 4.4 runs per game in that span thanks to home runs, but they face an A's pitcher in Brett Anderson that's allowed only six HRs in nine home starts. Texas is 29th against LHPs and Anderson has personally held the Rangers lineup to .186 hitting over his career.

              COLORADO +1.5

              COLORADO @ WASHINGTON | 7/25 | 4:05 PM EDT
              2:53 PM
There's some spot value Thursday in taking the insurance run with the Rockies (+1.5, +140) in their effort to avoid a sweep at the hands of the surging Nationals. Washington ace Max Scherzer returns to the mound from the injured list because of an inflamed shoulder. It's possible he won't be at 100 percent, and he is also just 2-4 with a 4.47 ERA in nine career starts against Colorado. The Rockies still have the fifth highest-scoring offense in baseball (5.34 runs per game), and Charlie Blackmon has a .308 average with two homers against Scherzer.
