Slight to no wind at 5mph or so inward to the 3rd baseline, Lance Barksdale behind the plate...the pitcher's umpire of umpires on today's slate. 8 total runs allowed in his Wrigley games this season...3 and 5 and with Atlanta and LAD visiting, 2 of the top 5 teams in runs per game.
Hamels is exemplary at home and Gio just shut the Cubs down hard last time out...including 9 Ks and with a first 5 play we avoid and RHP for the most part as well as in a spot that feels so Under we get the full basic 9/5 total split....and that SPELLS VALUE!

5-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 9.5 N.Y. Mets at Pittsburgh (7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3)
I don't see any reason why Marcus Stroman won't dominate in his first start. He's been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year, despite a 6-11 mark. He has just a 2.96 ERA and a 3-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio. Stroman has been great on the road this year, posting a 2.60 ERA, and I think he will have a big edge here facing a lineup that hasn't seen his stuff. The Mets just saw Chris Archer on Sunday, lighting him up for six runs in five innings. I think he'll make adjustments, though, and will be better at home. His ERA is nearly three runs lower at home as opposed to on the road this year and Archer also has had extra rest. The Mets have gone 'under' in six of their last eight games and I think that Stroman is going to be motivated to put on a show for his new mates.

Two horses are on the mound here in Arizona and I think that Stephen Strasburg and Robbie Ray are going to dominate this one. Strasburg has been in a great groove, allowing just four runs in his last five starts while posting an 0.88 ERA. Robbie Ray has been consistent all season, posting 173 strikeouts. His last two starts he has 21 strikeouts to just one walk, earning a quality start in both outings. Ray has been rock solid the last three years and I think he will be sharp today. The 'under' is 20-7 in Washington's last 27 games and is 10-1 in their last 11 road games. I feel like these
