I like PICK UP THE FONE here. Looks very good to be up near the lead at the first call. Has respectable Equibase Class Figures relative to this group of horses - worth a look. In against a much less demanding field of horses than last time out. BIZBY - Looks respectable versus this group of animals and ought to be one of the early speedsters. Must be carefully examined - I like the numbers from the last race. MAGINE - Is a key contender - given the 57 Equibase Speed Figure from her most recent race. Seems to have a quite good class edge based on the most recent company kept.

Taking a big drop in class figure points from her June 28th race at Churchill Downs. Based on that key piece of info, I will give this horse the advantage. Can't help but like the 2nd time addition of Lasix by the trainer today. What that tells me is Kenneally thinks she can win. BIZBY - Ran last time out against better company at Indiana Downs. The move down in class ranks should suit her well. This horse could be tough this time around, especially since Lezcano rode in the last race and now should be familiar with this one. Can't help but like the second time addition of Lasix by the trainer today. Pretty good indication Hernandez thinks she can win.

Win percentage under similar conditions may be the key for this filly. Has to be given a shot - I like the numbers from the last race. TOUSLED - The drastic drop in class can only help out this horse this time out. Have to suppose this pony will do well again this time around. DUBLINORNOTHIN - The speed figure of 65 from her latest contest looks strong in here. She has been racing admirably as of late while recording strong speed figures.

TORMENTA DE ORO - The last time she tried this distance she got a fig good enough to win this race. Looking at today's Equibase class figure, this horse is encountering an easier field than last time around the track at Gulfstream Park. ROSE'S ASSET - This mare is in top condition right now. Ran third last time around the track and comes back promptly.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 MEADOW JOY (ML=5/2), #8 BELLA FIGLIA (ML=7/2), #1 DIVINE HUMOR (ML=8/1),

MEADOW JOY - You should normally gamble against morning-line choices that haven't raced or show no activity in the morning over the last 3 weeks. Hard to put your money on the win end of any racer that finishes second and third as frequently as this thoroughbred does. Once you've got at least ten races at the track and still have no wins, its tough to break through for a victory. BELLA FIGLIA - This less than sharp equine hasn't won at this track. Not likely that the speed figure she notched on July 1st will hold up in this affair. DIVINE HUMOR - The Brain cautions me to stay away from ponies in sprint events that haven't finished in the money in sprint affairs lately. This horse doesn't have a winner's make-up. Time-and-again finishes close, but no cigar.
