The Oakland Athletics will host the Milwaukee Brewers for the middle-game of a three-game set Wednesday night. The A's won the opener 3-2 to improve to 9-2 in their last 11 home games, and I like the home team to keep building on its impressive run tonight.
Right-hander Jordan Lyles (5-7, 5.36 ERA) will toe the slab for his team debut with the Brew Crew. The 28-year-old Lyles has really struggled lately, going 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA in June and 0-3 with a 15.00 ERA in four July starts. Oakland left-hander Brett Anderson (9-6, 4.05 ERA) has not been at his best lately either, but note that the team still has won seven of his last nine starts.
