My selection in this event is KING SNAKE and is a very good value-based bet given the 8/1 line. Looks decent to be close to the front end at the first call. Make a note that this one runs with second time Lasix today. This trainer has done admirably lately with entries racing at this distance and surface. LONG WEEKEND - Make a note that this entrant runs with second time Lasix today. Displays the look of a profitable play, averaging a solid 92 Equibase Speed Fig which is one of the best in this group. TUGGLE - Win percentage under similar conditions may be the key for this colt. Solid jock with handler figures make this horse a very strong pick.

AUNT DOROTHY - Stay with this horse. Coming off the pace, I think she'll be in a fabulous spot to bury them in the stretch. I like to wager on this angle, a horse coming back off a nice effort within the last thirty days. Lopez comes to ride after getting to know the filly in the last race. When this jockey and trainer join forces you have to take a look. Lopez and Block have been wonderful together. Here is an appropriate handicapping angle that I've used many times before. Play a filly (like this one) getting Lasix for the 2nd time. WISHING BELLE - Have to give this filly a chance. Ran a nice race last time around the track within the last month. I seem to always make money betting Catalano horses on the turf. That barn has a dominant win pct for this distance/surface. The most recent speed figure of 69 is the best last race rating in the bunch. Is ranked totally at the top in earnings per start. A strong try in today's race can add to the lifetime bankroll.

In this race here, this horse has notched the highest speed rating at the distance, so I have to give her the edge. Trainer Motion moves this horse down the ladder based on class to face a lower level today. Look for a solid race this time out. This racer brings in a lot of dough per start. I believe she can augment the lifetime total in today's race. KERTARA - A thoroughbred coming back this promptly after a nice contest is a good signal. A wise man taught me to wager on the lone speed horse. Take a look at this one. I believe this horse isn't a natural sprinter. Routing is her best game and those last two sprints should have her set for a big run today.

DIXIE CANNON - Difficult to take this horse at these odds after the finish position (fourth) in the last affair. A closer like this one needs a speed battle to set things up and she isn't likely to get one in this one.
