The Pirates are 2-8 in their last 10 giving them good value at home, but the Brewers were struggling too going 4-6 in their last 10 before they picked up the first two games of this series. The Brewers bullpen should be taxed with two close games to begin this series, I like the value in the Pirates at home.

Clearly the Yankees are the better team here. But the gap is lessened in some ways. Yankees starter James Paxton has started twice against the Orioles this season, going 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA. On the road this season, Paxton has a 5.83 ERA with a .328 average allowed, and the Orioles have always hit southpaws better. On the other side, Baltimore starter John Means is 6-2 with a 2.56 ERA in 10 home starts -- opponents have hit just .203 on him. That's enough for me to take a leap with the big home dog.

I like the changes to keep it going against the Tigers, the worst-hitting team against RHPs in baseball. Detroit starter Tyler Alexander has had one good start and three less so. Chicago's offense has been terrible the last month, but they've still outscored the Tigers' unit this month and they've crushed left-handers all season.

Miami doesn't produce much run support, but Steven Matz was on a roll before he was shelled his last time out. He’s allowed five runs over nine innings of work against Miami. If the Marlins can get to Matz, the Mets' bullpen is a bottom-five unit. I'll take a leap with the massive underdog.

  6-0 spot combined with a 9-0 spot backing the ChiSox here today...and only got better when they won yesterday's first leg but lost the second leg of the doubleheader to the Tigers.
  Nova has been very solid lately...and gets to face the worst lineup in the majors nowadays sans even Castellanos, basically the only legitimate piece for the time being. In addition, the Sox just faced LHP yesterday in this series and slaughtered them for 5.0 wRAA and .456 wOBA and .361 BA and 1.119 OPS.
  The price here is just excellent despite the big pitching matchup disparity and with Nova really sharpening his performances...as well as being against good offensive teams like Minny, Philly, KC, Oakland, Cubs...or at least teams on completely different current tiers than the Tiger lineup he will face today!
  On top of it all...we drew good ole Mike Everitt behind the plate today...and he is home team toxicity and in his games the road team scores on average 2 more whole runs than the home team!
  Great value and great play to start the day...if there was more time and if we could guarantee Nova would go deep in the game...this would be at least a 5% play!

  They took a tough extra inning L on a wild pitch last night after mostly dominating the 18 innings played in this series So far save for 1 terrible 6 run inning.
