I would like to ride their winning streak, but I believe the Padres have the pitching edge today. Zach Eflin has been brutal as of late and this Padres lineup has the talent to make him pay. I believe the winner of this game will be up around double digit runs themselves. Both teams should have no problem scoring runs tonight. Take the Over.

  Plesac v. Paxton
  This is just straight value. We all know how this series has gone with the Tribe jumping ALLL over the Yanks in the top of the 1st in game 1 and it being over before they came to the plate....then losing a pitcher's duel last night to Tanaka. Enter James Paxton to the bump to take the series lead...however he will be up there sans Judge and Sanchez and Ford...eliminating much of the power in the order against young starter Plesac, who has looked like a guy meant for the Indians rotation for years to come!
  That being said...Paxton has his worst xFIP against RH at home at 4.59 and he walks too many in such a spot. Jason Kipnis will be the only hitter he faces with thr lefty lefty advantage for at least the first couple times through the order...and you are telling me without the sluggers and with Puig in at clean up raking against LHP amongst others...that I can get plus runs for the first 5 innings and I'd probably say the Tribe should be the first 5 favorite!
  Holy hell sign us up....quick!

  Lester v. Brault
  The Cubbies and NOT playing in Wrigley is a grim grim affair since 7/1- in fact all told they are 7-16 SU and 5-10 as a road favorite since July began! This includes 2 very VERY ugly walk off losses to and the Philly series and start their series after traveling all the way across Pennsylvania and settling in against cellar dwelling Pittsburgh.
  
  The.Cubbies ain't losing this game. I don't know how I feel about the series and tomorrow's game...but today...NO WAY
  Despite the bullpen woes the starting pitching has been great and Lester is the stopper needed for this nasty walk off duo they're staring back at today. Lester is also 8-0 last 8 when his bullpen has had 2 consecutive rough outings.
  Also, during this same nasty stretch of road games...their offense has been near the top facing LHP on the road...with a wOBA north of .400 and .308 ISO with 147 wRC+ just since 8/1.
  I ain't worried about Lester....he is clutch and his ability to step up in a big spot isn't questioned....even getting Josh Bell from.the right side of the plate...which makes him as ordinary as any hitter in the lineup.
  However, Brault on the bump for the Buccos isn't who you'd want in this spot. He is worse metrically across the board at Home of all things....allows a 6.59 xFIP to right handers at home (would be league worst by a point expanded out) and walks as many as he Ks. The.Cubs have excelled at just this during this same stretch...drawing 10+% BBrate and less than 15% K rate.
  This price is so solid due to the bad pub and nasty walk off losses....I make this to be -180 at BEST for our side...so thank God they have had those chokes...should be a breeze and hopefully Lester can get to the point the beleaguered pen needs less than 6 outs!
