NFL Preseason(Bob Balfe)
8:00 PM EST
Rotation # 429-430
Vikings -3 over Seahawks
Most coaches don’t play to win in the NFL Preseason, but Mike Zimmer and Pete Carroll do. For me the real key in this game is the Seahawks lack of depth on defense. This is a team that comes into 2019 with a lot of new faces on the defensive line. The linebackers and the secondary players all are set. The backups just don’t have much experience. In the regular season they have the talent to make it work, but in the preseason the Vikings should score at will tonight against young guys. Take Minnesota.

3% Take San Francisco (#961)
This is a tale of two teams headed in opposite directions right now. Arizona was a surprise story through the All Star Break. That was then; this is now. The D-backs have sunk below .500, losing four straight and six of their last eight. The D-backs bullpen is completely spent after a series in LA against the potent Dodgers lineup, a series in the thin air of Coors Field and an ugly first three games of this series; allowing 28 runs in the first three games against San Francisco; all losses. Arizona is just 2-8 in Merrill Kelly’s last ten starts and he’s been bombed for eight home runs and 24 earned runs in his last four outings alone.
Madison Bumgarner is pitching like a guy who wants to make at least one more playoff run with the Giants. San Francisco is 6-0 in his last six starts; 9-1 in his last ten. Bumgarner is coming off back-2-back gems (three hits allowed in 14 innings of work against the Phillies and A’s). He held Arizona to four hits and one run when he faced them last month; current D-backs have a .191 bating average against him and a .519 OPS in a large 157 at-bat sample size. The Giants key bullpen arms got the night off yesterday and this Giants lineup is sizzling right now. Ride the hot & fade the cold. Take the Giants.
Line Parameter: 3% at SF -119 or lower, 2% at -120 or higher
The Angels rallied to post a 6-5 win behind a four-run seventh and are in position to pick up their first series victory since mid-July by taking a third game in four days from the visiting White Sox. Opponents are batting just .230 against rookie Griffin Canning in Anaheim. Look for a lopsided result and ride L.A on the run line
Giants -102
Madison Bumgarner has surrendered just three hits over his last two starts, giving up a single run on a homer in his last 14 innings at home. The Giants have won nine of the last 10 times he’s taken the mound and he’s beaten the Snakes both times he’s seen them, holding hitters to a .191 average while striking out 15 over 13.1 innings. Look for San Francisco to pick up its seventh win in eight tries, wrapping up a four-game sweep in Phoenix.
