Everything is going the Yankees way in this game. The Bullpen alone is reason enough to take NY. 0.59 ERA their last 5 games. How about a 1.85 ERA their last 10 games in the bullpen for NY. Paxton starts for the Yanks, a southpaw and the Mariners are batting .129 as a team against left handers the last 5 games. NY pasted these guys 7-0 last night and I expect more of the same, and the early start is good for an east coast team, a usual starting time for them when converted to EST.
Paxton is at home here, spending his entire career is Seattle before being traded in November of last year to the Yankees, and he will bring his A Game in this one at his old home, and did I mention he has won 5 straight games headed into this one? Sheffield gets the starting nod for Seattle, and was involved in the Paxton trade, and he has 7 innings this year, with a 6.43 ERA, this is his second career start and 5th appearance in the majors. Good luck. Yankees by 4 to 5 runs here.

The Nationals are right in the thick of the Wild Card race leading all the rest of the group by three games heading into another winnable game against the O's. They are 7-3 in their last ten and they are welcoming back Max for his second start since missing some time with shoulder and back issues. They have a championship staff and have been leaning on them a lot this season but will need to keep the offense going if they are going to hold off the dogs and get the home WC game. Take the under in this one as the O's are not strong at the plate to say the least.

On the mound for the Reds will be Anthony DeSclafini, he enters this one with a 4.27 ERA,. He’s been great in his last two outings, giving up only one run each time. The Reds have managed to take care of business against bad teams like Miami, winning five straight games against teams with winning percentages below .400.
The Marlins are 1-9 in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and are 1-11 in Alcantara’s last 12 starts vs. a team with a losing record.
