This pick falls into one my top CFL systems and we are getting hungry Calgary team coming off a bye week after losing 2 straight games. Calgary just lost to Montreal in OT in a game they were up by 11 points with under one minute left so you can expect of fired up Calgary team at home in this Labor Day classic here Monday afternoon. Edmonton has struggled on the road this season including a loss at Calgary and they are banged up defensively coming into this game. Edmonton allowed a very bad Toronto team to put up 26 points against them in their last road game and now they face a Calgary team that is getting healthy offensively. Calgary is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team that has a winning record and they are 17-7-3 ATS in their last 27 games after a bye week. Edmonton is just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when playing a team that has a winning record. Calgary has forced 2.8 turnovers per game at home this season and they have averaged 29.6 points per game at home. Calgary is coming off back to back losses in games they should have won while Edmonton couldn't even beat Winnipeg to put up just 62 passing yards against them in their last game. Edmonton's opponents have completed 67.7% of their passes against them on the road this season and Calgary has completed 71.2% of their passes overall the season. 3-Unit Play. #693. Take Edmonton Eskimos +3.5 (-110) Over Calgary Stampeders (Monday @ 4:30pm est)

We like the Eskimos to hang tough on the road here, as this is a nice revenge spot for them. These two teams just met August 3rd in Calgary with the Stampeders taking the first of 3 games 24-18. Monday's game will be the first of two games in this home and home heated Alberta rivalry. Eskimos are the leagues #2 ranked defense and has been dominant all year. They are also led by the leagues leading passer with Trevor Harris as he has 3481 passing yds, 14 TD's, and just 3 INT. Harris put up 430 passing yds last week against the leagues #3 ranked defense in the Bombers. Now he faces the leagues #5 ranked defense. Eskimos were in that game till the end but they were not able to capitalize in the red zone. Having lost 3 of their last 4, knowing they fallen 2 games off the pace for the division lead, we expect them to show up big here. Trevor Harris also has some personal revenge having lost to the Stampeders last year in the Grey Cup Final as a member of the Red Blacks, and then failing to beat them back in early August. Looks like Bo Levi Mitchell will not suit up here again and likely placed back on the IR. Stampeders were hoping to have they Grey Cup QB back last week but still looks to not be ready. Look for the Eskimos to hang tough here, keeping this one close. This is a nice public fade to boot, which sets up well for us. Stampeders are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Stampeders are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss. Eskimos are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
