Really hard to quantify how a quality FBS playoff contender reacts just a week after playing a late Saturday night game with a terrible loss the way it went down...in their marquee non-conference matchup again Auburn! Nevada also had a HUGE SU win on Purdue after being down big. These 2 teams are going to be entering this game with a completely different mindset and I think 24 points is a gold mine here!

Sure is a lot of points for the defensive pedigree on the field Saturday night! This game was 12-10 last year and from watching it in its entirety I sure felt that total was lucky to get to a meager 22 points! Slugfest of ePac proportions is what I like for this game...and both punters to get to the Over number as well haha....

Kikuchi v. Verlander
Kooky talk line as I would say. Kikuchi started off the season as the OVER play of the MLB baseball...blind or not...twas a winner...a la Bieber as the Under King. That has come down to earth and Verlander continues to be the hardest luck dude on the planet with run support. He now has (after his 3rd no hitter) 14 starts where he allowed 2 or less runs on the season...basically doing it every other start...and has received a TOTAL of 51 runs in those games. Even in his no hitter in Toronto he entered the 9th inning not even having a run of support on the damned board!
This is only the 9th time Nick Mahrley has been behind the plate this season...and a month since doing so...which happened to be for a Verlander start that yielded a total of 4 runs...against the M's. I'll be damned if I'm not getting a hankering for some doublemint gum.
