Rotation #303-304
Houston +5 over Tulane
Houston/Tulane Over 57.5
Houston lost to a couple of top 20 football teams, on the road, causing* everyone to* freak out?**The Cougars crushed this Tulane team last year.**The game was over at halftime.**D’Eriq King didn’t even play in the second half as he injured himself for the year in the second quarter.**Houston ran all over this team.**The good news is Tulane returns a lot of starters on the defensive side from last year.**The bad news is what I just talked about.**These same players were torched.* What has changed?**Tulane doesn’t recruit the special kind of athlete that big named programs do.**Speed is speed.**Houston has it at the skilled positions.**King is a dangerous duel threat QB.**Patrick Carr had a career day against Tulane last year.**Making Houston even more dangerous is the addition of Texas Transfer RB Kyle Porter.**This team has a host of WR’s that can catch the ball.**Why are they such big underdogs?**Houston is thin on defense as they only return 4 of their top 12 tacklers from a season ago and Leroy Godfrey has yet to get to full game speed yet at linebacker.* This unit lacks the firepower they had the last few seasons and are vulnerable in the front seven.**Tulane has the running backs to be able to move the chains and put up points.**I love the over in this game, but I also like Houston because it will be tough for the Green Wave to win all four quarters against a superior athletic football team.**Tulane is turning the page as a program.**We will see them in sweet new uniforms tonight behind a great crowd, but remember this is still not a hot bed for recruits.**You don’t just great overnight.* I think this is a generous line for the dog.*Take Houston and the Over, both as straight bets.
