A wise man taught me to wager on the lone speed horse. Take a look at this animal. MIDNIGHT PIRATE - Look for this one to go straight to the finish line at some pretty good odds in this event. Ran seventh in last race, but not more than five from the lead at the wire. Last time, was entered in a race at Laurel in a race with a class rating of 71. Dropping drastically in Equibase class figure today puts her in a solid position in today's race. Trying to be a winner for the first-time moving from a turf race to the dirt. I think Dickey will have her in good shape for today's contest. 'Blinkers On' is a time-honored positive angle in handicapping the races. SHE'S A TROOPER - Hayes brings her back again. Loves the front, is breaking from the inside in a sprint race, and we're on a bullring of a track.

Thursday night football 8:20pm ET from Foxborough Mass. We get the Patriots hosting the Giants and the UNDER has value for me here tonight. Bookmakers list the Patriots as a 16.5-point favorite, and the over-under for total points set at 42. A lot of movement on this line as it opened at -13.5 in favor of New England and the total opened at 46.5.
New England is going for their fourth 6-0 start under Belichick thanks to a defense that has only allowed 34 points so far this season. Meanwhile the Giants come into this game with a MASH unit offense. Barkley OUT, Gallman his backup OUT, Shepard OUT, Engram questionable with a sprained MCL, and a rookie QB playing his first ever game against Tom Brady and the #1 defense. It all has to be too much one would think.
The Patriots defense will be feasting all night long. They are allowing just 6.8 points and 238.4 yards per game, and they lead the NFL in sacks and INT's and haven't allowed a passing TD yet. New England will win this game have no doubt but how well will their defense play is what I'm really wanting to see here. I predict they dominate the Giants in this one. The Giants are a mess right now, and I don't see them slowing this New England offense down at all. I can't say I have much faith in Jon Hilliman and Elijhaa Penny to score points.
Some trends to consider. The total has gone UNDER in 7 of NY Giants' last 9 games against an opponent in the AFC East division. The total has gone UNDER in 5 of New England's last 6 games, and it has gone UNDER in 5 of New England's last 7 games vs. the Giants. Lastly the UNDER is 5-2 in Patriots last 7 home games.
I see this one staying under 40, oh and Brady, is 11-1 on Thursday nights. Back the UNDER.
