Mike Foltynewicz was 8-6 with a 4.54 ERA during the regular season, but he pitched a gem in seven scoreless innings in Game 2 of this series. Jack Flaherty was 11-8 with a 2.75 ERA this season but he gave up three runs on eight hits in Game 2. Jack Flaherty has been an ace for this team all season, but the Braves were able to see him well in their first matchup. Folty looked unhittable in Game 2 and in September he was 4-1 with a 1.50 ERA. Flaherty pitched his first postseason game in Game 2, if the Braves can get some baserunners with the crowd behind them I like them to knock out Flaherty earlier than the Cards want.

Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz couldn’t be hotter than he is against these Cardinals. In his last two starts against them, he has pitched 13 innings and has given up zero runs. The Braves have outscored the Cardinals by a run count of 8-2. Edge goes to the Braves on Wednesday.

Walker Buehler was 14-4 with a 3.26 ERA this season and he only gave up one hit in six innings in Game 1. He has thrown 16.2 consecutive scoreless innings in the postseason. However, all the pressure is on the Dodgers tonight. The Nationals will have Corbin available in relief so they should be able to avoid their other relievers. This game is closer to a toss up with these two pitchers starting in the postseason, take the value in the Nats in Game 5.
