6-Unit Play. #040. Take San Jose Sharks -125 Over Carolina Hurricanes (Wednesday @ 10:30pm est)

We are rolling with the Sharks as this spot sets up nice for them at home. We had the Sharks for a *4 unit winner on Sunday as they finally got their first home win of the season, now look to make it 3 wins in a row. After requiring long time Shark legend Patrick Marleau the team has taken off after a terrible start. The Sharks have a lethal combo on the back end with Burns and Karlsson, each having multiple 70 points seasons. It is hard for any team to keep them in check especially on the power play. There has been added responsibility added to players like Couture, Hertl, Meier, and Kane when they decided to let Pavelski go in the off season and its starting to pay off. This is a tough spot for the Hurricanes as they are playing their 2nd game of a back to back on a tough California road trip with travel. They come off a shut out victory vs the Kings last night and likely have a bit of a let down here. They will also likely be starting their backup James Reimer. I think this spot favors the Sharks here who will have fresh legs and finally got their mojo going winning two in a row and coming off their first home win. Hurricanes are 12-30 in their last 42 games as an underdog of +110 to +150. Sharks are 10-4 in their last 14 games as a home favorite.
