Sunday card has 4 Huge NFL Totals and one is the Non Conference total of the year, we also have our Executive Level NFL TIER 1 Side and Sunday night Football. Early comp play below.
The NFL Comp Play is on The NY. Giants at 1:00 eastern. NY looks to bounce back after losing the last 2 and falling to 2-4. Today they are home for an Arizona team that is off back to back dog wins the last of which sets them up in a powerful play against system. In fact home teams with a total of 40 or more that played as a road dog on a Thursday are 7-0 straight up and to the spread vs a team off a home dog win like Arizona. The sample is small with just 7 games since 1989 but the Giants have covered 4 straight vs a losing team and 8 of 9 after scoring 14 or less plus they get Barkley back. Arizona has failed to cover 6 of 8 after passing for 250+ yards and 24 of 35 after allowing 350 or more yards. The Temperature will be in the 50/s and rainy which should help NY more than the Cards. Play on the NY. Giants. On Sunday we have a huge NFL Card up with a TIER 1 Executive level Side and 4 powerful totals one is the Non Conference total of the year. We also have Sunday night Football. BIG AL's ONE AND ONLY NFL TOTAL OF THE WEEK -- Sunday
At 4:05 pm, our selection is on the 'over' in the Tennessee Titans/Los Angeles Chargers game. On the surface, this looks like it will be a very low-scoring game. The Chargers' last five games have averaged 36.8 ppg, while the Titans' last five games have averaged 10 points less, at 26.8 ppg. And each of those 10 games have gone 'under' the total. So, the knee-jerk reaction might be to look for another 'under' here. But such knee-jerk reactions are often wrong. Indeed, over the last 40 years, NFL teams have gone 'over' 65% of the time if one team played its last 5 (or more) games 'under' the total, and its opponent played its last 3 (or more) games 'under' the total, and the Over/Under line was 42 or less points. And the Titans have gone 57-30 'over' the total after scoring less than 14 points in their previous game, if the Over/Under line in their current game was 42 or less points. Take the Chargers and Titans 'over' the total. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
BIG AL's 37-12 ATS NFL GAME OF THE MONTH -- Sunday
At 4:25 pm, our selection is on the Chicago Bears minus the points over the New Orleans Saints. When we last saw Matt Nagy's Bears, they were across the pond, in London, England, two weeks ago. We played against Chicago in that game, and were rewarded with an upset win by Oakland. Chicago had last week off to recover from the long plane trip. And rested NFL teams have now gone 12-3-2 ATS off a straight-up loss in their London game, including a perfect 4-0 ATS as a favorite. That bodes well for Chicago here against a Saints team playing its 2nd road game in as many weeks. It's true that New Orleans is red-hot, with 4 SU/ATS wins in a row. And given that New Orleans was my choice to win the Super Bowl (at 10-1 odds), I certainly am excited about its prospects. Unfortunately, unrested road teams off 4 SU/ATS wins are a poor 52-79 ATS vs. winning opponents, including 9-25 ATS their last 34 when priced from +2.5 to +4.5 points. This will be a rout. Lay the points with the Bears. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
