I'll take my chances here with New Orleans as a 4-point dog against the Nets. I'm just not a big Kyrie Irving fan. He's an outstanding talent, but I just don't think he's a good teammate. He's a ball-demanding, high-volume shooter that I think really destroys any kind of team chemistry. Sure he had a triple double in his last game against the Pistons, but he was 8 of 21 shooting and the Nets lost the game.
I know the Pelicans are coming in with a 1-5 record, but I've licked what I've seen from this New Orleans team without Zion. The schedule has been brutal. Their 5 losses are to the Raptors, Mavericks, Rockets, Warriors and Thunder. They were in all of those games.
I also like the rest edge for New Orleans. Pelicans are playing just their 3rd game in the last 7 days, while the Nets are playing their 3rd game in the last 4 days. Give me New Orleans!

Despite offseason changes, the Rockets (3-3) still don’t look like they have any interest in stopping opposing offenses. Tonight in Memphis, Houston will try to slow down the Grizzlies (1-4).
Through six games, the Rockets have allowed 123 points or more on four occasions. Houston hasn’t played much defense, and you don’t need to look any further than their win over the Wizards for proof. In one of the highest non-overtime games in NBA history, the Rockets won 159-158.

The UNDER is definitely worth a look in Monday's NBA matchup between the Bucks and Timberwolves. I just don't see these two going off offensively, especially with Minnesota being without their best player in Karl Anthony Towns. Sure the T-Wolves scored 131 in the first game without Towns, but that was against a bad Wizards team.
The other big key here is the Bucks aren't going to be pushing the pace like we would typically see with them playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. This is also a bit of a flat spot for Milwaukee, coming off a big revenge game against the Raptors (Toronto knocked them out of the playoffs) and a big game on deck against Kawhi and the Clippers Wednesday.
It doesn't hurt to have an incredible system backing a low scoring game. UNDER is 37-13 (74%) since 1996 when you have a total of 200 or more with a road team off a win by 10 or more and opponent coming off a game where they scored 130 or more. Take the UNDER!

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without a key piece in superstar center Joel Embiid who is suspended, and I'm not sure if they have the depth to beat this much improved Phoenix Suns team without him.

While the Sixers are undefeated on the season, this sure looks like a letdown spot, particularly without their star big man.

The last meeting between these teams produced 259 points. In fact, each of the last three meetings have finished with a minimum of 233 points. This one should also have a fast pace. Embid is out with a 2-game suspension. That means more of a small-ball lineup and leads to more running. He served the first game of that suspension on Saturday and the 76ers combined with Portland for a whopping 257 points. All those points came in regulation, too. Playing with a new sense of confidence, the Suns have scored 124 or more in two of their three home games. Including its last visit here, the 'over' is 29-18 the past 47 times that Philadelphia was listed as a road favorite. Those stats should improve here. Consider the Over.

The injuries are just laughable for the Warriors at this point. Not only did they lose Kevin Durant to free agency, they came into the season knowing they wouldn’t have Klay Thompson until at least the All-Star Break. And things have gotten a whole lot worse for them since.
The Warriors are off to a 1-5 start this season with four losses by 11 points or more. They lost Stephen Curry to a broken hand, they are without Draymond Green with a finger injury, and they are now expected to be without De’Angelo Russell due to an ankle injury. Not to mention, Kevon Looney remains out with a hamstring injury. This is now a D-League roster with the players the Warriors have to throw out there.
I’m not worried about the Blazers taking the Warriors lightly tonight. Portland is coming off a loss to Philadelphia by a single point and has lost two of its last three. They will be highly motivated for a win to avoid falling below .500 on the season after a 3-3 start against a very tough schedule. And they want some revenge after getting swept by the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, so they won’t feel sorry for them at all.
Portland is 13-4 ATS as a road favorite over the last two seasons. The Blazers are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. Portland is 7-1 ATS in its last eight games vs. a team with a losing record. The Warriors are 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Golden State is 15-35-1 ATS in its last 51 home games. Bet the Blazers Monday.
