They’ll face a Pittsburgh team that endured the *****s of a team in transition in 2018. Returning four starters gives them automatic cohesion for the opener. Yet, look for Florida State’s athleticism to be the difference.

After a bit of a slow start, the Bucks have really kicked into gear over their past few games. Now, they travel to Los Angeles to play the Clippers, who will be without Kawhi Leonard (load management). That's obviously great news for the Bucks. Through the first seven games this season, the Clippers' net rating with Leonard on the floor is plus-18.2, but when he sits it plummets to minus-9.3. They just aren't anything special without both Leonard and Paul George. Plus, Leonard is the best defender in the league against Giannis Antetokounmpo, and without him on the floor, Milwaukee's high-powered offensive attack should dominate. Take the Bucks.

The Wizards are very overvalued thus far this season. After covering in five of their first six games, they now face a very gritty Pacers team at home. Coming off an overtime loss to Charlotte on Tuesday, I like Indiana to put forth an inspired effort against an Injury-riddled Washington team. The Pacers are due to post a statement victory, and I see that happening on Wednesday night.

In most cases, this very much is a sucker bet on the road in front of one of the most hostile crowds in college basketball. In certain scenarios, I would expect a championship hangover, but not for Tony Bennett’s team. The crowd in Syracuse won’t even begin to phase this composed Virginia team just months after it captured the national title. The Cavaliers should handle the Orange throughout their the season opener.

Cincinnati couldn’t have ended last season on a lower note. Head coach John Brannen looks to notch his first victory with the Bearcats, who have covered only two of their last 12 games. Brannen brings more of an offensive emphasis, which is much-needed with the team opening its season on the road. Point guard Chris McNeal will make a huge impact on this game - and Cincinnati's season in the early going. I like the Bearcats to keep this one close and cover the number.

Vanderbilt's talents are hidden by the fact it is in one of the toughest conferences in the SEC. The Commodores haven’t covered in their last five games dating back to last season, and the Bookmakers definitely are valuing that. Southeast Missouri State had some terrible double-digit losses to teams such as Austin Peay, Jacksonville State and Tennessee State last season. On the road at Vanderbilt to open their season, I can’t see the Redhawks coming within 20 points.
