This is an intriguing matchup as Kawhi Leonard gets his first crack at facing his former team. The Raptors come into this game with a ton of confidence after the Lakers on Sunday. The Raptors are a tough team and playing on back-to-back nights shouldn’t effect them. Look for the Raptors to play with extra motivation Monday.

The Raptors are still missing Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka, and of course they'll be facing their former leader, Kawhi Leonard. They're also playing for the second straight night while the Clippers are rested. But Toronto is deeper than many realize. Grab the points.

As if losing Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green wasn’t bad enough, now the Raptors are without Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka due to injuries. However, they pulled of an impressive win on the road Sunday against the Lakers, holding them to 104 points in the process. Facing the Clippers on the second night of a back-to-back set is a daunting task, but the Raptors are a good defensive team. They still have some dangerous players in Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet. I don’t think they will win, but I think they avoid being blown out.

Both teams are coming off blowout losses, but this should be a good spot for the youth-laden Grizzlies to compete well and cover the number. Rookie star Ja Morant and fellow rookie Brandon Clarke should be back after sitting out Saturday's loss to the Mavericks. The Spurs don't have the firepower to create the needed separation for this number against most teams, and their defense remains a work in progress. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins is former coach of San Antonio's G-League club so he is familiar with how the Spurs operate.

SAMFORD @ BELMONT | 11/11 | 7:30 PM EST
Belmont lost its season-opener, allowing 79 points to Illinois State, but it's a better defensive team than that suggests. ISU shot 50 percent from three in the game, and that's not sustainable. Plus, Belmont moves at such a slow pace on offense that I find it hard to imagine this game going over. As for Samford, it's defensive efficiency ranks 204th nationally in KenPom, but Belmont doesn't have quite the size to exploit it inside like other teams have.

VETERAN HANDICAPPER
Bill Marzano takes a basic approach to handicapping: He follows each sport daily, analyzing stats and trends, injuries and personnel. He homes in on refs and umps to get an edge. And he uses all the resources he's compiled over the years. Marzano believes in patience and doesn’t play games every day or just because he’s up or down or on a streak. He likes run lines, puck lines and isn’t afraid of a two- or three-game parlay. Marzano excels in every major sport and absolutely dominates the NHL. Over the past four years, he's returned a documented profit of $10,091 to $100 NHL players.

The Niners are the lone unbeaten team in the NFL and I think that could come to and end Monday. The Niners are without a huge weapon in TE George Kittle. Seattle QB Russell Wilson is an MVP candidate who has 22 TD's and just one INT. Chris Carson will be key for Seattle as it faces the 14th-ranked rush defense. This is a field-goal game either way.

HOUSTON -6.5
HOUSTON @ NEW ORLEANS | 11/11 | 8:00 PM EST
2:29 PM
The Rockets have won three straight games and are a much better overall team than the 2-7 Pelicans, who are last in the NBA in scoring defense at 123 points per game. James Harden is leading the NBA in scoring and the Rockets are starting to improve on the defensive end. The Rockets are scoring 120 per game and should have no problem eclipsing their season average.
VANDERBILT -17.5
TEXAS A&M-CC @ VANDERBILT | 11/11 | 8:00 PM EST
2:26 PM
Vandy has a new head coach in Jerry Stackhouse and he made quite the impression in his team's opener. Vandy was horrible last year with just nine wins, but looks improved this year. Texas AM-CC was crushed in its opener against Louisiana Tech. The Islanders shot poorly in their first game from free-throw line, the field and beyond the arc. They struggle again Monday.

The Pelicans are going to be shorthanded for this matchup, with Lonzo Ball (hip) set to miss his second straight game. They only beat the Hornets by five points without him on Saturday, which isn’t exactly an encouraging sign. Things weren’t great even with Ball in the lineup since New Orleans had lost three straight before that matchup. Not only that, but each defeat was by at least 10 points. The Pelicans are only 1-3 ATS at home this season, so I’ll take the Rockets to cover.
