I'll take my chances here with the Bulldogs laying single-digits at home against UMKC. Drake opened the season with a 86-55 blowout win over Kennesaw State, but just couldn't get their offense going in a 59-81 loss at Cincinnati. Bulldogs went from connecting on 17 of 29 (58.6%) of their 3-point attempts against the Owls to shooting a mere 4 of 19 (21.1%) on the road against an elite Bearcats defense.
Drake is a team that really relies on their 3-point shooting and I look for them to have a much better night shooting from deep at home against the Kangaroos. UMKC lost by 18 at Oklahoma State last time out and were lucky that thing didn't end a lot worse than it did, as they were down 33-17 with just over 3 minutes to play in the 1st half.
Drake was 13-2 on their home floor last year and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 as a home favorite. Bulldogs are also 15-4 ATS last 19 off a game they failed to cover and perfect 6-0 ATS last 6 off a road loss by 10 or more. Give me Drake -8!
