    NHL | Hurricanes vs Sabres
Play on: Sabres +126 at pinnacle

MIKE LUNDIN'S HURRICANES @ SABRES FREE PICK
The Buffalo Sabres are 2-1 as a home dog on the season. Here they'll host a Carolina team that has lost three straight games as road favorites, and Buffalo should come out some urgency here looking to snap an ugly five-game slide. The Canes just ended a four-game losing streak of their own with a dominant 8-2 win over Ottawa. I would not be surprised if they come out flat here.
    Free pick on Buffalo Sabres.

      NBA | Bulls vs Bucks
Play on: Bucks -11½ -109 at GTBets

Thursday NBA Free play. My selection is on Milwaukee minus the points over Chicago at 8:05 pm et on Thursday.
The Bulls are coming off their fourth win of the season, ultimately pulling away from the Bulls in a blowout win two nights ago. They'll face a much tougher challenge on Thursday, however, as they travel to Milwaukee to face a well-rested and supremely-talented Bucks squad. Milwaukee checks in ranking tops in the league in pace rating and fourth in defensive rating over its last five games. It also sits just outside the top 10 in offensive rating over that same stretch. Chicago has held its own in two of those categories, sitting top 10 in defensive rating and third in pace rating over its last five contests. The problem is, the Bulls rank just 25th in offensive rating over that same period. I simply feel the Bulls are going to have a tough time breaking through against a terrific Bucks defense, while Milwaukee will likely be able to build a sizable lead that will take Chicago out of its defensive game that has been so successful lately. Take Milwaukee (8*).

        NBA | Mavs vs Knicks
Play on: Mavs -7 -109 at GTBets

My free play is on the Dal Mavericks at 8:05 ET. The NY Knicks finished with the NBA's worst record last season (17-65), as well as its worst home record of 9-32 (Bulls were also 9-32 at home). New York lost 120-102 on Tuesday at Chicago, falling to 2-9, which matches its worst 11-game start in franchise history. The Knicks will try to pull out of their rut and save coach David Fizdale's job when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday in the first game of TNT's doubleheader. The Mavs are 6-4 to open the current season but enter having lost TWO of three. Dallas lost 116-106 at Boston on Monday but that surely is nothing to be ashamed of, as the Celtics own the NBA's best record of 9-1 (NINE straight win since an opening-game loss at Philly). However, the Mavs can't quite explain how they lost 106-102 last Friday night at home vs the Knicks, as 11-point favorites. Dallas lost that contest despite a triple-double out of Luka Doncic (38-14-10) and 28 & 9 from former Knick Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis missed the entire 2018-19 season while recovering from knee surgery but is having a solid start to this season (18.3 & 7.9), although he was held to a season-low four points on 1-of-11 shooting on Monday. Porzingis and Doncic (28.3-10.3-9.1) are hoping to lead the Mavs back to the playoffs this season, after missing in each of the last three seasons. A press conference with New York's general manager and the team president questioning the team's effort did not seem to snap the Knicks out of their funk, as they lost by 18 that night in Chicago. Fizdale is thought to be on the 'hot seat' but New York's players were ready to back their coach after Tuesday's setback. "He's trying to pull us toward a victory in different ways and at the same time we've been coming up short," veteran forward Taj Gibson told reporters of Fizdale. "We've just got to do a lot better and it's not just on him, it's on us, too. He's been trying to will us to wins and it's been going the opposite way as of late." Forward Morris (18.5 & 6.) and rookie RJ Barrett (16.-5.8-4.1) are the Knicks' top players but both are shooting 41% from the floor on the season. The Knicks are averaging only 99.5 PPG (29th) on an NBA-worst 41.6% shooting. In this quick turnaround from last Friday, expect the Mavs to gain a measure of revenge from that embarrassing home loss. Lay the points. Good luck...Larry

NCAA-B | Michigan State vs Seton Hall
Play on: Michigan State -6 -109 at GTBets

1* NCAAB - Free Pick on Michigan State Spartans -6 -109
Love the value here with No. 3 Michigan State in Thursday's Top 25 showdown at No. 12 Seton Hall, as I got Sparty winning this one by double-digits. Having already dropped a big game against then No. 2 Kentucky in the opener, Tom Izzo's squad is going do everything in their power to avoid another loss to a ranked opponent.
Pirates will be without star guard Myles Powell, who is strong candidate for All-American honors and one of the favorites for Big East Player of the Year. I just don't see Seton Hall being able to keep this close without their star player.
Also, this Michigan State team is playing inspired basketball following the unfortunate death of Cassius Winston's younger brother Zachary Wilson. Winston played just hours after the bad news on Sunday and had 17 points and 11 assists in just 26 minutes.
The Spartans won that game 100-47 at home against Binghamton. Michigan State is 10-1 ATS last 11 off a win by 20+ points, 9-1 ATS last 10 after scoring 85 or more and 6-0 ATS last 6 on the road after allowing 55 or less. Take Michigan State!

            NHL | Stars vs Canucks
Play on: Canucks -135 at 5Dimes

1* Free Play on Canucks -135
The Canucks (10-6-3, 23 points) are doing everything they can to keep up with the Oilers in the Pacific. Tonight, they’ll continue in that endeavor by hosting the Stars (9-8-2, 20 points) in Vancouver.
The Stars are currently ahead of only Minnesota and Chicago in the Central, but a single win could leapfrog them over Winnipeg and Nashville. Only a 3-2 overtime loss has kept Dallas from now riding a six-game winning streak. Instead, the Stars are now aiming to build a new winning streak after taking down Calgary 3-1.
On average, the Stars are scoring 2.42 goals per game (29th) and allowing 2.37 goals per game (2nd).
Goaltending has been the strength of this Dallas team, and Ben Bishop leads the way with six wins, a save percentage of .930, and 2.12 goals allowed per game.
The Canucks trail only Edmonton and Arizona in the Pacific, but they’ll need to build a winning streak if they’ll keep up. Vancouver is coming off a 5-3 win over Nashville. Perhaps the biggest advantage the Canucks have in tonight’s contest is that Dallas will be playing the second game of a back-to-back.
On average, the Canucks are scoring 3.21 goals per game (12th) while allowing 2.58 goals per game (5th).
Center Elias Pettersson leads Vancouver with eight goals, 15 assists, and 23 points.

Fp: Kicks picking up where they left off last year at 2-9 sitting dead last in the nba . Ownership is bad fans bad stadiums old players bad contracts bad and the coach is on the way out . Only thing good about New York is rj Barrett and that won’t be enough look for Dallas to win and cover for my nba free pick.
