The Washington Redskins are pathetic, and I truly don't understand how the Detroit Lions are laying just 3 1/2 points. I'll buy the half point down and lay just a field goal, of course, but the Lions should win by 10.
Washington just gave up 400 yards and 34 points Sunday to the New York Jets, who entered with the league’s worst offense. Washington’s defense is allowing opponents to convert on 49.28 percent of third downs - the worst rate in the league.
I would talk about the Lions, but this pick is more so against the Redskins, who have shown no consistency or promise on either side of the ball. They can't protect rookie Dwayne Haskins, who was sacked six times by the Jets. They can't stop anybody, see the stat above. Their special teams is anything but special.
Detroit is in after a valiant effort against the Dallas Cowboys, but couldn't come through with an upset. Detroit has now lost six of its last seven games, and this is a perfect opportunity for the Lions to get a critical win.
Jeff Driskel threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns against the Cowboys, and finished with a passer rating of 109.3 for the game. He also ran for 51 yards on eight carries. Overall, the Lions have the eighth-best offense in football, with 379.9 yards per game.
Look for Detroit to have its way with the Redskins and win this by double digits.

Aside from this being a damn-near must-win for the Kansas City Chiefs, and most certainly a must-win for the Los Angeles Chargers, I'm going to factor in the playing surface everyone is talking about.
Remember last year’s game between the Chiefs and Rams was moved back to Los Angeles less than a week before the game when the field was deemed unplayable? I'm not saying we're in an identical situation, and I'm sure the field is in better shape, but it's not an NFL field.
I favor the defensive units in this game.
Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers leads the league in passing yards (2,816), but he also ranks third in interceptions (10), three of them coming last week against Oakland.
Los Angeles' 16 giveaways are tied for seventh in the league.
That'll help Kansas City's sketchy defense, that could use a break or two against a mistake-prone offense considering how bad the stop unit has been this season.
Chiefs quarterback Pat Mahomes is back, but he gets to deal with the Chargers' sixth-ranked defense and ferocious ends Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa, who have combined for nine sacks over the past four games. Bosa ranks third in the AFC with 8 1/2 sacks this season while Ingram has 4 1/2.
Play this one low.

All about making sure I come out of Monday night on the plus side, and this Kansas City-Los Angeles winner will see to it that I do!
Kansas City heads to Mexico City having played Over the total in each of their last 3 games - 2 of the 3 with Patrick Mahomes out with injury - while Los Angeles heads to Estadia Azteca with 7 Unders in their last 9 games played. Obviously, one of these trends is going to continue and my money is on the Over to be the way to look as a closer look at the Chargers 7-2 Under run shows an Over in their last game at Oakland on November 7th as the Bolts have split their last 4 games in the Over/Under department.
Philip Rivers threw 3 interceptions in the Chargers last game at the Raiders, and 1 of them was returned for a touchdown. With the chance of a few more turnovers in the equation for this Monday night contest, I will look for the Over to be the way to go in this Chargers-Chiefs AFC West showdown. You know as well as I do that Patrick Mahomes can put the points on the scoreboard in the blink of an eye, and he is fresh off posting over 400 yards passing with 3 TD's and 32 points totaled in KC's 35-32 loss last weekend at Tennessee.
These teams played both series meetings last year Over the total, and the Over is 4-2 the last 6 times these division-rivals have faced one another.
Kansas City is on an overall 11-6-1 regular season Over run dating back to last year, and with their defense having allowed 30 points or more in 4 of their last 7 games this season, the chances we see another KC Over appear pretty strong to me.
Chiefs-Chargers Over the total on Monday in Mexico City.

Jack’s Free Pick Monday: New York Knicks -2.5
The New York Knicks want revenge on the Cleveland Cavaliers from one of their worst losses this season. They lost 87-108 as 2.5-point home favorites over the Knicks on November 10th just over a week ago. Look for the Knicks to get their revenge tonight and get a win and cover.
This is a bad spot for the Cleveland Cavaliers. They will be playing the 2nd of a back-to-back after losing at home to Philadelphia Sunday. It was the third straight loss for the Cavaliers. The Knicks had yesterday off and will be the much fresher, motivated team tonight.
The Knicks are 38-20 ATS in their last 58 games when revenging a blowout home loss by 20 points or more. New York is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games following an ATS loss. Bet the Knicks Monday.Comment
