Take the Ohio Bobcats minus the points versus the Bowling Green Falcons. Ohio (4-6) has suffered two straight upset losses by just six combined points after their 37-34 loss to Western Michigan last Tuesday as a 1.5-point favorite. The Bobcats surrendered 322 passing yards in that game — and they have covered the point spread in 21 of their last 29 games after allowing at least 280 passing yards in their last game. Ohio was held scoreless in the first half last week after going into halftime in their previous game against Miami (OH) by a 7-7 score — but they have then covered the point spread in 17 of their last 24 games after not scoring more than 7 points in the first half in two straight games. Bowling Green (3-7) has lost three of their last four games after their 44-3 loss at Miami (OH) last Wednesday. The Falcons have then failed to cover the point spread in 5 of their last 7 games after a loss by at least 20 points. The perception here is that Ohio is the only team with something to play for and they should win here rather easily. I can’t say that I think Bowling Green will get the win, but I do think the number has been inflated to the point that there's value with the home team.
While the Falcons weren’t competitive against Miami (OH) last week, they really haven’t been competitive against anyone away from home. They lost by 52 at Kansas State, 42 at Kent State, 52 at Notre Dame and 39 at Western Michigan.
What they have done is play much better at home. Their biggest win of the season came at home against Toledo, as they defeated the Rockets 20-7 as a 27-point dog. They also only lost by 18 at home to Central Michigan, which is tied on top the loaded West side of the MAC.
I get there’s incentive for winning out to get to a bowl, but I also think this Ohio team isn’t in a great spot mentally. They came in thinking MAC Championship and just couldn’t deliver. What really makes it painful is how close they have been in defeat. Their 3 conference losses have all come by exactly 3-points.
This also wouldn’t be the first time the Bobcats were overvalued on the spread, they are just 2-8 ATS on the season, including 0-7 ATS as a favorite. They are also just 9-21 ATS on the road in Weeks 10 thru 13. Give me Bowling Green +21!

The Ole Miss Rebels won 20 games and made the NCAA Tournament in Kermit Davis’ first season on the job last year. He earned SEC Coach of the Year honors for the work he did, and now the Rebels should be a force in the SEC once again this season.
The Rebels return two double-digit scorers from last year in Breein Tyree and Devontae Shuler. Tyree is an SEC Player of the Year candidate after averaging 17.9 points per game last season. Shuler averaged 10.3 points per game and shot 51.1% on 2’s and 40.2% on 3’s last year.
Ole Miss is off to a 3-0 SU & 2-1 ATS start this season beating Arkansas State by 28 as 22-point favorites, Norfolk State by 13 as 24-point favorites and Western Michigan by 27 as 19.5-point favorites. They should easily cover this 18-point spread against Seattle at home.
Seattle is off to a 2-3 SU & 0-3 ATS start this season. Their two wins have come at home against Pacific Lutheran and Pacific-Oregon. They lost by 31 at Washington State as 3-point dogs, a Washington State team picked to finish last in the Pac-12. They were upset at home by Eastern Washington by 8 as 2.5-point favorites. And they lost by 22 at Syracuse as 16-point dogs.
Ole Miss is 8-0 ATS in its last eight home games vs. poor defensive teams that allow 77-plus points per game. Seattle is 5-16 ATS in its last 21 games overall. Ole Miss is 13-4 ATS in its last 17 non-conference games. The Rebels are 26-11 ATS in their last 37 games overall. Bet Ole Miss Tuesday.

I'm expecting a very high-scoring affair Tuesday night in New Orleans, as the Pelicans get ready to host the Blazers. We got two teams facing off that don't play a whole lot of defense and love to push the pace offensively.
Portland comes in 10th in the league in pace of play and are giving up 114.1 ppg. New Orleans is T-3rd in pace and are allowing 120.0 ppg. Pelicans should definitely be able to set the tempo here at home against a Blazers team that will be playing their 3rd straight on the road. Portland also in the second game of a back-to-back, as they were at Houston on Monday.
This is also a great matchup for Portland's offense, which ranks 2nd in the NBA in pick-and-roll offense and will be facing a Pelicans defense that ranks 24th in defending the pick-and-roll. Look for Damian Lillard to have a monster game exploiting this weakness.
OVER is 10-3-1 in Portland's last 14 vs a bad team that's won fewer than 40% of their games, 7-3 in their last 10 on the road and 21-8-1 in their last 30 off a game they failed to cover.

My money is on the Jets to cash in a win as a big road dog against the Predators. I just feel this is way too good a price to pass up with Winnipeg. The Jets have won 6 of their last 8 and 3 of those wins have come in the role of an underdog of +160 or more. Making matters even better, Nashville is in a slump right now. The Predators have lost 4 straight and 6 of 8 overall. Four of those losses coming as favorites of -140 or more. BET THE JETS +166!

We all expected that this would be a tough year for Golden St but the Warriors have wasted little time going from contender to the NBA basement amid a handful of departures and a steady stream of injuries. 2-12 Golden State dropped a 108-100 decision to the Pelicans in New Orleans on Sunday, for its seventh consecutive defeat, the team's longest since the 2011-12 season. The Warriors are in Memphis tonight to take on a 5-8 Grizzlies team which had won three straight before getting overwhelmed by Denver in a 131-114 home loss on Sunday. D'Angelo Russell, who leads Golden St in scoring (24.3) and assists (6.7), is the latest Warrior to be sidelined (thumb). "There are some funky lineups that are out there because of our injuries and we're short on shooting," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who has started 11 different players, told reporters. "If you can't spread the floor shooting, you've got to be able to play with pace and make all the cuts. You've got to play faster. You have to get stops defensively so you can run."Some new names to watch are rookies Eric Paschall (16.7 & 4.8) and Ky Bowman (7.4), who are both taking the opportunity for more playing time. Paschall (30 & 7) hit the 30-point mark for the second time this season at New Orleans, while Bowman tied his personal best with 19 points. Memphis was done in by Denver's 44-17 second quarter on Sunday but consecutive wins at San Antonio and Charlotte plus a home win over Utah prior to the Denver game shows that Memphis may be better than expected this season. Ja Morant was chosen second in the 2019 NBA Draft and leads the team in scoring (18.4) and assists (6.0). Mike Conley, who? SF Jackson was the 4th pick of the 2018 draft and is averaging 14.5 & 5.3. Brooks is adding 13.4, former Toronto center Valanciunas is averaging almost a double-double at 12.8 & 9.4 plus Gonzaga rookie Brandon Clarke is averaging 12.3 & 6.3 (he's shooting 37-fof-50 from the floor over his last six games).
