NOTE: I WAS GOING TO HAVE AN 8-UNIT COLLEGE BASKETBALL TOP PLAY OF THE SEASON TODAY. I ACTUALLY DIDN'T GET THE NUMBER THAT I WANTED SO I AM NOT GOING TO FORCE AN 8-UNIT PLAY.
1-Unit Play. Take #601 DePaul (-1) over Boston College (Noon, Saturday, Nov. 23)
Let's keep riding DePaul. This team is hot. They already went on the road and beat Iowa, so going on the road here won't rattle them. They have real talent on this team. Paul Reed and Charlie Moore are players, and Romeo Weems is a solid freshman addition. Throw in vets like Devin Gage and Jalen Coleman-Lands and this team has a well-rounded, deep, experienced squad. Boston College has been playing over their heads a bit. Their wins against Wake Forest and South Florida were nice. But the loss of Wynston Tabbs is going to catch up to them. I'll ride the hot hand.

2-Unit Play. Take #610 Penn State (-14.5) over Yale (4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
Yale has played tough in its two road games at San Francisco and at Oklahoma State. However, I think they are in a bad spot here. They had that road trip, then came home and played a triple-OT game with Siena on Wednesday. They are playing in Penn State today but also looking ahead to Monday's holiday tournament. I think this is a bad spot for them. Penn State has some high end talent with Lamar Stevens and Mike Watkins and I think that they are too big and too strong for the Bulldogs.

2-Unit Play. Take #619 Manhattan (-1) over Elon (4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
I still think that this Manhattan team is a little better than the market is giving it credit for. I think they will come to play today and I think that this is a bad matchup and a bad spot for Elon. The Phoenix are not good this year. They have been one of the worst offensive teams in the country and I think they will struggle with Manhattan's press. Elon is in a letdown spot after a big game against North Carolina. They played their best game in that one and still lost by 14. I don't think they are better than the Jaspers and I like Manhattan to get this win.

3-Unit Play. Take #632 North Dakota State (-6) over Utah Valley (6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
NDSU is coming off a bad loss to Stony Brook. I think that they will bounce back here against a bad Utah Valley team. They fell on their faces after their game against Kentucky, going home and losing to Lamar. Now they are back on the road in a tough place to play against a veteran NDSU team that is looking to rebound after a loss. I think NDSU wins this one going away and I won't be surprised if this is an 18- or 20-point game.

2-Unit Play. Take #635 Boise State (-4) over Pacific (7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
Boise State was finally able to break through with a nice home win over BYU. I think that they will continue their upswing with a win here on the road against a shaky Pacific team. It think Pacific will be snaky this year. But they aren't that good and they aren't there yet. They've won three in a row against bad competition. And they already have losses to Hawaii and South Dakota, two teams that are definitely worse than Boise State. The Broncos will make their free throws down the stretch and get ahead of this number.

2-Unit Play. Take #646 UNLV (+1.5) over SMU (10:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
I don't think that UNLV is going to lose two home games in a row. The Rebels have had a tough start to the year, going 2-4. However, two of those losses were in overtime against teams from major conferences. SMU is 4-0. But they haven't played anyone or beaten anyone. They've played a bunch of cupcakes, and haven't been all that impressive in their wins. SMU has lost a lot of talent over the last three years and I don't think that this tea is nearly as good. UNLV is due for a bounce back effort and I think that they will get it here.

1-Unit Play. Take #656 Massachusetts (+15.5) over Virginia (Noon, Saturday, Nov. 23)
I don't think Virginia is very good this year. They have been completely unimpressive to me, and I think that they will struggle a little bit this weekend on a neutral site. They are not in any danger of losing this game. But this is a big number to cover against a Minutemen team that has won five straight and has some guys that can do some things.

7-Unit Play. Take #657 Arizona State (-2.5) over St. John's (2:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
The Sun Devils was obviously better than St. John's last year when they played in the First Four game to start the NCAA Tournament. I think that they are obviously better than the Red Storm now too. Since that game St. John's lost its coach, three starters, and its top three bench players. Mike Anderson has two god players, L.J. Figueroa and Mustapha Heron. But that's really it. That's not enough here. I think that Arizona State is still really good. Remy Martin is legit. Rob Edwards and Alonzo Verge are two more solid guards. And throw in their veterans in the post and this is one of Bobby Hurley's deeper ASU teams, even if it is not his most talented. I think ASU's guards can at least match St. John's guards. And I give the Sun Devils a big edge in the post. The Sun Devils are, to me, clearly the better team here and they should get this win.

1-Unit Play. Take #679 Rider (Pk) over Columbia (5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
Columbia is one of the worst teams in the Ivy League this year. I know Rider hasn't exactly come out guns blazing, but they are a better, deeper, more experienced team than the Lions. At some point it will click for the Broncs. And I think that it will click enough here for them to get a win.

1-Unit Play. Take #7723 Florida A&M (+30.5) over Seton Hall (Noon, Saturday, Nov. 23)
I love Seton Hall this year. But there is absolutely no doubt that they are looking ahead to the Battle 4 Atlantis next week. That tournament in the Bahamas is loaded with good teams and is going to be the best holiday tournament of the week. I think the Pirates are going to rest Myles Powell a bit here today and they know they can walk through Florida A&M. I don't know why the Pirates would be motivated to go out and get a 35- or 40-point win here and I think that they will be content winning by 24 of 26 points.

1-Unit Play. Take #7749 Iona (-11.5) over Kennesaw State (6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
We hit with Monmouth over Kennesaw State yesterday. I'll go right back against them here today. KSU is really, really bad and they weren't competitive against Monmouth yesterday in a 71-40 loss. Well, Iona is better than Monmouth so I don't know why today's game would be any different.

1-Unit Play. Take #7756 VCU (-22.5) over Florida-Gulf Coast (7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
Gulf Coast just fluked out a win over Florida Atlantic in their last game, pulling out a rivalry win in overtime. Now they are going on the road and running into a buzzsaw. VCU is nasty, and they will bury the needle on teams that aren't ready to handle their pressure. Gulf Coast lost by 22 points at St. Louis and by 16 points at Mercer. Neither of those teams are even close to VCU. I think the Rams win this one by 30 and this is going to be a game I wish I had bet more on.

1-Unit Play. Take #7768 Monmouth (-7) over Stetson (8:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23)
Stetson managed to cover against Iona yesterday because the Gaels shot atrociously from 3-point ranges (8-for-29) and the free throw line (14-for-27). I don't expect that to be the case for Monmouth here. This Monmouth team is not bad at all and they should be able to run past the Hatters here.

1-Unit Play. TEASER: Take #624 Providence (-8.5) over Penn (4 p.m.) AND Take #7749 Iona (-6.5) over Kennesaw State (6 p.m.
